The Colorado Avalanche have been discussing the possibility of wearing Quebec Nordiques jerseys during several games next season in honor of the teams 25th Year Anniversary.
YES, YES one million times YES!

As I wrote in a previous article (Best/Worst NHL Jerseys), the Quebec Nordiques jerseys are one of my favorite all-time NHL jerseys. The colors and simplistic uniform design make it one of the best classic uniforms in the game. Stars like Joe Sakic, Peter Forsberg, and Adam Foote have worn the Quebec Nordique sweaters before, and it’s time to bring back a fan favorite.
Although the team changed its name to the Avalanche and moved to Colorado in 1995, the team will always have its Quebec roots. Similar to the Carolina Hurricanes tribute to the Hartford Whalers, I’m hoping this possibility becomes a reality. It would be amazing to see stars like Nathan MacKinnon, Gabriel Landeskog, and Mikko Rantanen rock the blue, white, and red Nordiques sweaters.
