Week One Fantasy Football Recap

Is anyone’s heart still racing from that Steelers game? My lord in heaven, if the Steelers could just one time have a normal game of football on a Sunday that doesn’t run to the last second for a chance at victory I may live to see 30 in November.

Some major headlines are coming out of week one with the Seattle Seahawks and the Denver Broncos still left to play tonight on Monday Night Football.

For starters, Justin Jefferson is that guy. The Vikings look damn near elite with the league’s best receiver (Sorry Cooper Kupp) looking elite as ever.

Saquon Barkley reminded us all what it’s like to watch a true RB1 one run as he shoved his massive quads down the throat of last years best rush defense in Nashville against the Titans.

Kareem Hunt looks to be a true RB1 alongside Nick Chubb for the Cleveland Browns. I think there are a few running back rooms where you can play both backs and the Browns once again lead this convo.

The Falcons still LOVE Cordarelle Patterson. CP finished with 22 touches and 120 yards on the ground and a touchdown to paid with 3 receptions for 16 yards. Phew.

The Jaguars RB room is still up for debate. James Robinson got 11 carries for 66 yards and a touchdown to match his one receiving touchdown. Travis fans shouldn’t be worried yet, but it isn’t looking like his backfield just yet.

Waiver Wire Watch (less than 30% owned in ESPN leagues)

Jeff Wilson Jr. – 3.5% Rostered – This isn’t based off of his week one performance, more because of the injury to Elijah Mitchell with his hamstring.

Jaylen Warren – Similar to Wilson, Warren is only an add because of Najee Harris’ ankle. They say it isn’t a big deal, but a walking boot is never a good thing. Warren looked serviceable enough to warrant stashing.
