Start’ Em Sit’ Em Wide Receivers – Week 12

Wide Receivers are up next people! I literally screwed up everything in this one Pittman wasn’t needed because Jonathan Taylor became the star of the show against the Bills, and Brandon Aiyuk decided to remember how to play football again. Let’s be better this week people.

Starts

Start of the Week;

DJ Moore vs Miami Dolphins

Moore was able to get redemption in points as he scored a touchdown from Cam Newton against the Washington Football Team. He has another that makes my mouth water as he’ll face off against the Miami Dolphins are next to last in terms of covering wideouts. Plug Moore in because he will be getting you points this week against Miami.

Michael Pittman Jr. vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Pittman didn’t have any opportunity for success last weekend with Jonathan Taylor putting up monster numbers. He does have a chance to do some damage this week though as he and the Colts will take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Their defense has been okay, but it still yields a heavy amount of points to wide receivers each week. Pittman who has no competition should thrive here.

Emmanuel Sanders vs New Orleans Saints

You know how much I love revenge games. Sanders had promise for the Saints when he played for them, but he was ultimately thrown away and he found some success with the Bills. Now Sanders has an opportunity for revenge this Thursday as the Bills take on the Saints. That Saints defense has been garbage as of late and Sanders should hopefully exploit them this week.

Darnell Mooney vs Detroit Lions

Mooney popped off for success last weekend with Fields and Dalton throwing him the ball. He should find some similar success against this poor Detroit Lions defense. The Bears should have a good game here against the Detroit Lions despite it being Thanksgiving. Then again, the Lions don’t have Stafford anymore. Anyway, Mooney should be a really good play here with the pressure coming down on the Lions.

Rashod Bateman vs Cleveland Browns

Bateman had a bit of a slump last weekend against the Bears, but with Lamar Jackson being ruled out with sickness, I get it. Jackson should be back to full health for this week’s game against the Cleveland Browns. Their defense is bad at defending against wide receivers, and Bateman should be a go-to guy for this special occasion.

Sleepers;

Hunter Renfrow vs Dallas Cowboys

Jakobi Meyers vs Tennessee Titans

Marquez Valdes-Scatling vs Los Angeles Rams

Sits

Sit of the Week;

Odell Beckham Jr. vs Green Bay Packers

I need to see more of OBJ before I just throw him on a start list people. He caught like two passes for barely any yardage, and he returned some punts. He might see an uptake in targets this week, but I can’t just go with him right away. I will need to see how he does this week against Green Bay to make my decision for the future, and for right now I am choosing to believe he won’t do great.

Kenny Golladay vs Philadelphia Eagles

Golladay like the rest of the Giants has become an afterthought this season. He can’t seem to get that connection with Daniel Jones back even after coming off his injury. Hopefully, with a new offensive coordinator in the works, something can happen here. It will not be for this game against the Eagles. The plan can’t come together that quickly, and the Eagles’ defense is good at covering wide receivers.

Jerry Jeudy vs Los Angeles Chargers

Jeudy and the Broncos are coming off a bye week and will have a divisional matchup against the Chargers. We will see how it goes, but I am betting the secondary does a better job at covering wide receivers like they have done in the past. If that is the case then Sutton and Patrick shouldn’t be as pressed as Jeudy is by far growing into their best receiver. I would just avoid him this week because the coverage on him is not going to be ideal.

Jarvis Landry vs Baltimore Ravens

Landry didn’t do a whole lot last weekend against the Lions in terms of the receiving game. However, on a botched play, he did run in for a score. That won’t happen this weekend when the Browns take on the Ravens. If Keenum was in I’d be all about this matchup, but that just isn’t the case, and the Browns will be rolling with injury-prone Baker Mayfield which doesn’t help Landry at all.

Laviska Shenault Jr. vs Atlanta Falcons

Shenault just doesn’t offer me anything anymore man. He is not included in plays, and when he is included in them they either never work, or he doesn’t gain much yardage. So as much as I like this matchup against the Falcons (I love it), I just can’t trust Urban Meyer to put Shenault in the best position for success.

Busts;

Amon-Ra St. Brown vs Chicago Bears

T.Y. Hilton vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Cedric Wilson vs Las Vegas Raiders
