Running Backs are up next people. The start of the week last week was Darrell Henderson, and man did he make a splash getting us over 20 points against the Texans. The sit of the week was Mike Davis. Yes, he put up double-digit points, but it wasn’t anything to get excited over ya know? Let’s access this week people!
Starts;
Start of the Week;
Josh Jacobs vs New York Giants

Jacobs got some much-needed rest from the bye week and will be healthy and ready to go against the Giants in week nine. Both Williams and Gore were able to do some pretty serious damage to the Giants on the ground. Drake might sneak in there now and then, but this game will be a nice one for Jacobs guaranteed.
Chase Edmonds/James Conner vs San Francisco 49ers

I know I am doubling up here, but you can’t go wrong with either of these guys. Both are putting up great numbers and scoring touchdowns. Their opponent this week is the 49ers. The matchup might be a little timid to look at, but these two should do just fine if Murray gets them into great situations which I believe he will.
Michael Carter vs Indianapolis Colts

Normally, I don’t like to chase points, but Carter had a monster outing last weekend against the Bengals scoring over 30 fantasy points. I like his chances to succeed again when he and the Jets take on the Colts. Their defense may be top five against running backs, but the way Mike White uses him, it’s gonna be a great day for Carter.
Myles Gaskin vs Houston Texans

If there was a game that Gaskin needed to go off on it is this one. The Texans are not great at stopping anything and they proved that last weekend against both Henderson and Michel. Gaskin can do well if he rushes and catches his way around this Texans defense. It just has to be for his sake.
Boston Scott vs Los Angeles Chargers

Scott turned out to be the one starting not Gainwell. Who would have known? I certainly didn’t. He rushed for 60 yards and two touchdowns against the Lions last weekend. He should have another great day here when he faces the Chargers who are in the bottom tier of rushing defense. He’s a nice flex option if you need him.
Sleepers;
Zack Moss vs Jacksonville Jaguars
AJ Dillon vs Kansas City Chiefs
David Johnson vs Miami Dolphins
Sits
Sit of the Week;
Cordarrelle Patterson vs New Orleans Saints

Look man I get it. Patterson has been great so far in swindling us into believing that Mike Davis was gonna be the starter. He has been absolutely wonderful and a PPR machine for the Falcons. However, with Ridley being out the two main weapons are him and Kyle Pitts. You better believe with how the Saints cover backs that Patterson will be watched like a hawk.
Damien Harris vs Carolina Panthers

Harris has been a great option for people in need of running backs. However, this matchup is far from favorable for him. The Panthers are in the top tier of defending the running back position. Honestly, this is gonna be a tough matchup. He might get you double digits, but I don’t think it is going to be anything impressive.
James Robinson vs Buffalo Bills

Robinson narrowly avoided serious injury last week. Honestly, there is a good chance he might not even play this week. If that’s the case then treat this for Carlos Hyde instead. Whoever the back is, it won’t be a wonderful matchup. The Bills’ defense is the best defense at stopping the run. Robinson has better upside because of his PPR format, but I still would avoid him in this one.
Javonte Williams vs Dallas Cowboys

Just when I thought we were gonna see more Williams, we saw more Gordon with Melvin Gordon getting both rushing and receiving touchdowns last weekend against the Washington Football Team. I guess I would just avoid Williams at this point based on the fact that Gordon is still relevant in that offense. The matchup against the Cowboys isn’t great either though.
Derrick Gore vs Green Bay Packers

Gore was a pleasant surprise in last Monday night’s game against the Giants. However, this is not something to chase points after. Williams is still providing a lot of ground for the Chiefs, and we also could be getting CEH back soon enough from the injured reserve. It was a nice one-day thing, but let’s not get fixated on it people okay?
Busts;
Mike Davis vs New Orleans Saints
Devontae Booker vs Las Vegas Raiders
Adrian Peterson vs Los Angeles Rams
