Start’ Em Sit’ Em Quarterbacks – Week 7

Starts

Start of the Week –

Matt Ryan vs Detroit Lions

Welcome back to fantasy relevance Matt Ryan. One week after firing both their head coach and general manager, the Falcons put on a clinic against the Vikings. A big reason for that was Matt Ryan was destroying the Vikings secondary with four touchdowns. Hopefully Matt Ryan can continue this dominance against the Detroit Lions this weekend.

Ben Roethlisberger vs Tennessee Titans

Big Ben has done well this season so far, and now he has a very comfortable matchup against the Tennessee Titans. Their defense has not been great against opposing quarterbacks allowing about an average of 21 points per game to quarterbacks and almost an average of 300 passing yards. Look for Big Ben to score big, and to add another win for Pittsburgh.

Matthew Stafford vs Atlanta Falcons

Stafford was the start of the week last week against the Jaguars, and he failed to live up to expectations. I have to like him this weekend though against the Atlanta Falcons’ bad secondary. Don’t let the fact that Cousins threw three picks last week discredit you from playing Stafford this week.

Joe Burrow vs Cleveland Browns

Joe Burrow ran into some hard times last weekend against the Colts. He didn’t throw a single touchdown pass, but was able to run one in to save his fantasy value. I like his matchup a lot this week though against a divisional Browns team. Burrow passed a lot last time, and I think that this time the Bengals get it done and get another win.

Justin Herbert vs Jacksonville Jaguars

Herbert is coming off a bye week, and honestly he has been doing great (which I said he would be). I think he is going to be have a nice matchup this week against the Jacksonville Jaguars. While they intercepted Stafford last weekend, I believe Herbert will go in and ball out for the Chargers.

Sleepers;

Teddy Bridgewater vs New Orleans Saints

Gardner Minshew vs Los Angeles Chargers

Kyle Allen vs Dallas Cowboys

Sits

Sit of the Week –

Jared Goff vs Chicago Bears

Jared Goff finds himself on a bad end as the sit of the week this week in his Monday night game against the Chicago Bears. Goff was really inaccurate when they faced the San Francisco 49ers last weekend, and with Chicago’s defense a little more tuned up, I’d advise anyone that has Goff to make a spot for him on the bench this week.

Baker Mayfield vs Cincinnati Bengals

Baker had to be taken out of the game after being beaten to a pulp by the Steelers. Apparently, his ribs are healthy and he is ready to go for his rematch against the Cincinnati Bengals. Though the Browns won that game, Baker wasn’t particularly good. I think he makes mistakes here and it might cost them the game.

Ryan Tannehill vs Pittsburgh Steelers

Tannehill came in clutch for the Titans last weekend, but we all know Derrick Henry was the star of the show. Surprisingly, I see the Steelers shutting Henry down forcing Tannehill to make throws. With offensive tackle Taylor Lewan lost to a torn ACL, the Steelers will look to attack Tannehill fast and sack him hard.

Cam Newton vs San Francisco 49ers

Newton was on the receiving end of a beating last weekend from the Denver Broncos. He threw two interceptions in his return since testing positive for COVID, but at least he was able to run one in. I don’t think things are going to be easy for him this weekend though against the San Francisco 49ers. They held Goff in check for pretty much the whole night.

Jimmy Garoppolo vs New England Patriots

Jimmy G goes up against his former team this weekend in the New England Patriots. Normally, you would think revenge game here, but something just tells me this isn’t going to go the way we think it is going to go. Don’t forget, he didn’t do too hot two weeks prior against the Dolphins so who is to say he won’t screw up again when the pressure is on.

Busts;

Nick Foles vs Los Angeles Rams

Derek Carr vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Daniel Jones vs Philadelphia Eagles
