TFTB Madden League Presents Knock Hards: The Cleveland Brown Story (Week 9)

In Week 8 the Cleveland Browns and Knock Hards took a trip to Empower Field at Mile High in Denver, Colorado. The Browns looked to bounce back after the butt-whooping they took from the Patriots in Week 7, and boy did they ever.

Quarterback Baker Mayfield had one of his best games of the season, slinging passes left and right for a total of 250 passing yards. Baker managed to connect with Odell Beckham Jr, for two huge touchdowns!

Not sure if it was the high altitude helping Baker’s passes along the way, but the former Heisman Trophy winner lived up to his potential completing his first 12 passes, and finishing the game with a 94% completion rate (17/18 attempts).

The Browns running game did not have much success, but with Baker Mayfield throwing bullets it really didn’t matter too much. However, there was some bright side to the Browns running game. Jaylen Samuels make his Cleveland Browns debut, and his first carry was a beauty.

In addition to Baker and the Browns offense success, their defense also played a huge role in the 27-20 victory. In fact, the game came down to a 4th and goal with 15 seconds to go. The Broncos ran a screen pass, which was completed for a short gain before the Browns defense stepped up and made the tackle two yards in front of the end zone. You did not read that wrong, the Browns defense actually made a stop when it mattered most!

After a much needed victory against the Broncos, the Browns look to build a win streak to finish up the last half of the season. Baker could not be stopped, and is determined to lead his men to another victory as they battle the Buffalo Bills in Week 9. Yeah Mac you read that right, we are coming for your beloved Bills next!
