Wrestlemania 36 is here ladies and gentlemen! Tonight the biggest names of the modern wrestling era will attempt the first ever Wrestlemania without a crowd. It will also be the first Wrestlemania on two separate nights. We will get Wrestlemania both tonight and Sunday night to enjoy in our quarantined homes.
It will be one of the most interesting things my eyes will ever watch. It might have that flashy feeling, but honestly, wrestling is wrestling and the performers will leave it all in the ring to try to entertain the millions (AND MILLIONS) of the fans watching at home.
Today I will be giving you my predictions for every single match on the card and why I think this way. There’s a lot to cover so without further ado, let us get started.
The Kabuki Warriors vs
Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross
WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship
Prediction: Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross Win The Titles
Part of me really wants to pick the Kabuki Warriors here because Asuka is so darn entertaining. However, the Warriors have held the tag team titles for quite some time now and I think a new change of scenery is in store when the former champions Bliss and Cross regain the gold.
Otis vs Dolph Zigger
Prediction: Dolph Ziggler Wins
In a long story put short, Otis likes Mandy Rose and had a date with her planned. Otis was running “late” and by the time he got to the restaurant, Dolph Ziggler had taken his place and later the two became a couple. However, an anonymous figure on the screen revealed that it was Mandy Rose’s best friend Sonya Deville who had sent a text to Otis posing as Mandy to ruin the date. He also revealed that Deville had conspired with Ziggler the whole time. I’d like to think the good guy wins in the end here, but something tells Mandy will get hurt in the match, and Otis will take his eyes off the prize with Ziggler escaping with a victory.
Aleister Black vs Bobby Lashley
Prediction: Aleister Black Wins
Probably my least interested match on the card, and it is a shame because I love Aleister Black. Sadly, this is a throw away match with absolutely no build to it whatsoever. I don’t see this match lasting long despite Lashley’s freakish build. I think Aleister hits the Black Mass and puts Lashley’s lights out.
Elias vs King Corbin
Prediction: Elias Wins
Despite Elias almost being murdered at the hands of King Corbin on Smackdown yesterday, I have full confidence that Elias will come away with a victory here. The key factor is that Elias will have help and his help will come from the help of two individuals; Mojo Rawley and the host of Wrestlemania 36, Rob Gronkowski. The match will be changed and with the help of those two, Elias will win the match.
The Street Profits vs
Austin Theory & Angel Garza
RAW Tag Team Championship
Prediction: The Street Profits Retain
As much as it would be interesting for Theory and Garza to win the titles here, I just don’t see it happening just yet. Andrade was originally supposed to compete with Garza, but suffered an injury and was taken out of the match with Austin Theory replacing him. If it were Andrade and not Theory then maybe I could see it, but I have the Street Profits retaining their gold.
The Miz & John Morrison
vs The Usos vs The New Day
Ladder Match
Smackdown Tag Team Championships
Prediction: The Usos Win The Titles
With the Miz’s involvement in Wrestlemania in question, I could go with Morrison and the Miz retaining their titles, but it is hard for me to overlook the Usos. I had them winning last time, and while it didn’t plan out like I hoped, I have a feeling it will go as planned this time. The Usos will climb the ladder, retrieve the titles and we will finally get the dream match between the Usos and the New Day that I have been wanting for a while now.
Sami Zayn vs Daniel Bryan
Intercontinental Championship
Prediction: Sami Zayn Retains
There is nothing I would like to see more than Daniel Bryan winning gold once again. However, Zayn hasn’t held the title long and I don’t see him losing the belt especially if Cesaro and Nakamura are in his corner. I don’t see Drew Gulak getting involved here. Instead, I see Gulak actually being the one to dethrone Zayn and become the new Intercontinental champion.
Kevin Owens vs Seth Rollins
Prediction: Kevin Owens Wins
A lot of good promos have made this match a must-see between these two. Kevin Owens claims he has been denied his Wrestlemania moment and will look to take it by beating Seth Rollins. The Monday Night Messiah has had a multitude of moments though, and I believe that will go to his head. He will let his guard down and Owens will hit the stunner and seize his moment.
Rhea Ripley vs Charlotte Flair
NXT Championship
Prediction: Rhea Ripley Retains
This almost seems like a true passing of the torch moment. The first NXT match to be displayed on the grandest stage of them all. The Royal Rumble winner Charlotte Flair will look to dethrone the Nightmare and become the true Queen once again. However, I firmly believe the Nightmare will retain her title and continue to show dominance for the NXT brand.
Bayley vs Sasha Banks vs Lacey Evans vs Tamina vs Naomi
Fatal Five-Way Elimination Match
Smackdown Women’s Championship
Prediction: Bayley Retains
Another difficult match to predict here because of how many competitors there are and the fact that it is an elimination match. Part of me wants to take a chance here, but with so many title changing hands tonight already, I decided to play it safe and have Bayley retain. It will most likely come down to either her, Sasha Banks, or Naomi here, but again I went the safe route. let’s hope it pays off.
Becky Lynch vs Shayna Baszler
RAW Women’s Championship
Prediction: Shayna Baszler Wins the Title
The reign of “The Man” Becky Lynch was a great one, but sadly it comes to an end at Wrestlemania when Baszler dethrones her and becomes the new RAW Women’s Champion. They will treat Baszler like Brock Lesnar; an unstoppable MMA fighting machine that will be a fighting champion. She will put Becky in the near-naked choke and she will win the title. Not by Becky tapping out though, but by making her go to sleep.
Edge vs Randy Orton
Last Man Standing Match
Prediction: Edge Wins
If you thought the promo work for Owens vs Rollins was good, then the promo work between these two has been fantastic. The story telling was absolutely wonderful between these two. Why do I believe Edge will win this match though? It is his first singles match since he retired. I mean he can’t lose this right? He almost got his career ended again by Randy Orton and his wife was RKO’d as well with the names of his daughters being uttered by the Viper. Edge has to win this match.
John Cena
vs “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt
Firefly Funhouse Match
Prediction: “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt Wins
Plain and simple here folks. WWE has to write their wrong with how they’ve handled Bray Wyatt. From losing to John Cena at Wrestlemania 30, that disgusting excuse for a Hell in a Cell match with Seth Rollins, and finally him losing the Universal title to Goldberg at Super-Showdown. Bray Wyatt has to win this match. John Cena cannot be the winner of the first ever Firefly Funhouse match. What is that match you ask? I’m not sure, but it is about to be entertaining as hell.
The Undertaker vs A.J. Styles
Boneyard Match
Prediction: The Undertaker Wins
It seems like “Big Evil” biker Undertaker is back for this Wrestlemania as he will collide with the Phenomenal One; A.J. Styles. The disrespect that Styles has shown the Deadman and his wife Michelle McCool has been nothing but despicable and the two will face off in another unique unheard of match; A Boneyard Match. I’m assuming it will involve skulls, bones, and maybe a burial ground with the loser finally being laid to rest. The Undertaker will beat Styles and have his soul Rest In Peace!
Goldberg vs Braun Strowman
Universal Championship
Prediction: Goldberg Retains
Originally, this was supposed to be Roman Reigns and not Braun Strowman, but Reigns took himself out of the match due to COVID-19 and the fear that it might affect him with his brush-ins with leukemia. So Strowman takes his place and while this was supposed to be the match that Goldberg dropped the title, I just can’t see him dropping it to Strowman. So unfortunately, I have to go with Goldberg here.
Brock Lesnar vs Drew McIntyre
WWE Championship
Prediction: Drew McIntyre Wins the Title
The time has come for the Chosen One to take his rightful place as the face of WWE. This match will be fast-paced and brutal. Both men will be dominant and the action will be intense. However, the claymore kick will seal Brock’s fate and once again we will get a fighting champion that will be on the show every single week on RAW.
