Start’ Em Sit’ Em Wide Receivers – Week 13

Start of the Week –

D.J. Chark vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Chark did decent last weekend against the Titans, but not nearly as well as he should have done. This weekend he gets the Tampa Bay Buccaneers who are last in defense against wide receivers. Chark should flourish as long as Foles gets the ball to his favorite target.

Calvin Ridley vs New Orleans Saints

Ridley saw a nice amount of production come his way, but it wasn’t until Matt Ryan exited the game that he got his garbage time touchdown from Matt Schaub. He has a chance to do some real damage this weekend against the Saints with Julio Jones being deemed as questionable with a shoulder injury. As long as Matt Ryan plays like should, Ridley should do just fine.

D.J. Moore vs Washington Redskins

Moore put up a terrific stat line last weekend against the Saints with 126 receiving yards and two touchdowns. There are reports he is tending to an ankle issue and a personal matter, but Moore should be on track to play this weekend as expected. The Redskins defense isn’t that bad, but Kyle Allen should rely on his number one wideout in this one.

Jarvis Landry vs Pittsburgh Steelers

Landry has come alive in recent weeks to the nice matchups that the Browns face, but he has made a clear impact as the number one wideout in Cleveland passing Odell Beckham Jr. He goes up against the Steelers in their second scuffle of the season and he should have a pretty productive outing once again against their AFC North rival. The sad thing is that the Steelers give up the most points to slot receivers aside from the Buccaneers. Start him if you got him.

Jamison Crowder vs Cincinnati Bengals

Aside from last week’s matchup with the Raiders, Crowder has had an incredible connection with quarterback Sam Darnold. This connection should thrive once again this time against the Cincinnati Bengals. The defense has given up seven touchdowns and the fifth most fantasy points to slot receivers this season so Crowder should see the good come his way once again.

Robert Woods vs Arizona Cardinals

D.K. Metcalf vs Minnesota Vikings

DeVante Parker vs Philadelphia Eagles

Sit of the Week –

Emmanuel Sanders vs Baltimore Ravens

The hot streak of Emmanuel Sanders has definitely cooled off as he has scored about 13 points in his last three games. Most of that might be due to his injured ribs, but Garoppolo has found success with Samuel and Kittle. I’d avoid this matchup as Sanders and the 49ers travel to Baltimore to take on the Ravens who haven’t allowed a huge performance of a receiver since Week Nine including DeAndre Hopkins.

Marquise Brown vs San Francisco 49ers

Baltimore Ravens v Miami Dolphins

Brown went off last week against the Rams with two touchdowns, but even with his speedy ability I would temper expectations this weekend against the 49ers elite defense. Throughout the year, the niners defense has allowed the sixth fewest points to opposing wide receivers this season. It will be tough to bench him, but at the most maybe he is a risky flex play, but I can’t be sure of it.

Will Fuller vs New England Patriots

Will Fuller had a crazy game last weekend having about 140 receiving yards against the Colts. That won’t be happening this weekend as he has a matchup with the deadly New England Patriots defense. While some of the Patriots locker room was affected by an illness I am imagining that the only people who will be sick this weekend will be the owners of Will Fuller who play him. It’s just not smart in my hones opinion.

Tyrell Williams vs Kansas City Chiefs

Williams had a prime opportunity to exploit a shaky Jets secondary, but he couldn’t just get anything going. So it makes him really hard to trust against the Kansas City Chiefs this weekend. Their secondary has gotten a lot better and if I am being honest the Raiders will look to run the ball down the Chiefs’ throats with Josh Jacobs.

Mike Williams vs Denver Broncos

Mike Williams has failed to score double digit points in four of his last five games. He now has a matchup against the Denver Broncos and while the Denver defense is not frightening beyond any shadow of a doubt, they can cover wideouts quite well and I am not convinced that Williams will have a productive outing especially since Philip Rivers has been struggling lately.

Marvin Jones vs Chicago Bears

Terry McLaurin vs Carolina Panthers

Randall Cobb vs Buffalo Bills
