Start of the Week –
Jimmy Garoppolo vs Arizona Cardinals
Jimmy didn’t have the greatest outing in the greatest game of the season so far against the Seahawks, but I expect a good rebound in his second meeting with the Arizona Cardinals. In his first game against the red birds, Garoppolo had four passing touchdowns. That was an away game. Now they face the Cardinals at home and I like Garoppolo to have just as great of a performance as his first outing against them.
Josh Allen vs Miami Dolphins
Like Garoppolo, Josh Allen will face the Miami Dolphins a second time and like the first time, I expect Allen to do well. He threw two touchdown passes in their last bout and in the game against the Browns last weekend he scored two rushing touchdowns. This makes me think he will get a touchdown through the air and on the ground. Regardless look for Allen to do well in this contest.
Jameis Winston vs New Orleans Saints
Winston put up a decent stat line last week despite throwing two interceptions against the Arizona Cardinals. I like his matchup this week with the Saints despite the matchup. They will be without their top tier cornerback Marshon Lattimore because he is injured and their game is in Tampa. Crazy thing is that opposing quarterbacks score an average of five more points than normal against the Saints when the Saints play on the road. Look for Winston to make some waves this weekend.
Derek Carr vs Cincinnati Bengals
Derek Carr didn’t do anything incredible last weekend against the Chargers, but I like his production to trend upwards this weekend against the Bengals. Considering his opponents as of late he has scored 19 plus points in his two of his last three opponents and his chances look good here against the struggling Bengals. Every quarterback that has faced the Bengals has scored an average of more than 23 points per game. Look for Carr to go all out and if you have a quarterback on bye, Carr is most likely available on your waiver wire.
Mason Rudolph vs Cleveland Browns
I don’t know if I just haven’t come down from my Steelers fever yet from last weekend, but I am starting Mason Rudolph in multiple fantasy leagues against the Browns this week and you should too. Mason doesn’t do much, but for some reason I like him against a struggling Browns team on the road in Cleveland. With Conner coming back from injury, Mason should have more confidence moving the chains knowing Conner can run the ball. Give him a start or you’ll never know will ya?
Sam Darnold vs Washington Redskins
Kyle Allen vs Atlanta Falcons
Nick Foles vs Indianapolis Colts
Sit of the Week –
Baker Mayfield vs Pittsburgh Steelers
Mayfield got lucky last weekend against the Bills who of sort let the Browns win due to their mistakes. I do not see my Pittsburgh Steelers doing the same thing. This is one of the best defenses in the league and they straight up humiliated Goff and the Rams offense last weekend. Mayfield and the Browns will fall here.
Jared Goff vs Chicago Bears
What has happened to Jared Goff man? This kid did incredible last year, but when things go sideways in their games it just seems like Goff can’t shake things off. What makes things worse is that his star center went down for the year so he cannot count on waiting long to throw anymore. Plus he faces the Chicago Bears this weekend who when they face opposing quarterbacks only give them an average of about 14 fantasy points. No thank you.
Kyler Murray vs San Francisco 49ers
In his first match against the 49ers I had Murray as the sit of the week and he came out and balled all over my prediction. This time I am not going with the sit of the week, but instead a sit. They are on the road this time and I have to believe that after facing a mobile quarterback in Russell Wilson that the 49ers will be ready for Murray this time around.
Carson Wentz vs New England Patriots
Wentz has quite the mess of tough defenses to face and the New England Patriots are the best defense in terms of turnovers. Wentz is coming off a bye and should be prepared and so should you if you plan on starting him. The Patriots are downright nasty to opposing quarterbacks and if you don’t think New England is still upset because of their loss to the Eagles in the Super Bowl then you are sadly mistaken.
Kirk Cousins vs Denver Broncos
Kirky boy proved me wrong in his prime time match with the Dallas Cowboys. However, a match with the Denver Broncos has me keeping him in the sit column this weekend. The Broncos while not great on offense have been crazy good against opposing quarterbacks only allowing an average of 12 points a game. Don’t bank on Cousins this weekend people.
