As most of you already know, the Pittsburgh Steelers find themselves in a tough spot heading into the weekend. Not only do the Steelers have to win against the Bengals, but the Ravens have to lose to the Browns in Baltimore for the Steelers to Clinch the AFC North. Steeler fans can only hope for the best and our Steelers are doing their best to prepare for the big game. Let’s take a look at what has happened so far..
Today, The Pittsburgh Steelers have placed  Kicker Chris Boswell on the IR. As most of you know, the once Wizard of Bos has struggled the entire season. Missing a league leading 12 kicks (13/20 FGs, 43/48 XPs).
The Steelers have signed Kicker Matt McCrane. McCrane has played for the Arizona Cardinals and Oakland Raiders during the 2018 season. McCrane has gone 5/9 with field goals in his career, and has been a perfect 8/8 with extra point kicks. So I think it’s safe to say if the Steelers get into the end zone Mr McCrane “should” be automatic.
The Steelers have also been focused on their scouting reports. In fact, Defensive Coordinator Keith Butler has openly expressed his concern for one Bengals player in particular. Today, Butler stated that the Steelers Defense will have trouble covering Bengals Tight End, Tyler Eiffert. Usually this is a good game plan, however Eiffert has been on the IR since October 5th with a broken ankle..
This is a bold strategy, and we will see how this works out for the Steelers on Sunday. Kickoff is set for 4:25pm at Heinz Field. Be sure to tune in, it’s going to be interesting for sure!
