Smalls’ NFL Mock Draft 2.0
The draft conversations are getting spicier by the day in light of the NFL Combine this past weekend. Kyler Murray and Jachai Polite reportedly had terrible interviews with multiple teams, and guys like Devin Bush and Montez Sweat are rocketing up draft boards after their performances. My guy DK Metcalf had a monster of aContinueContinue reading “Smalls’ NFL Mock Draft 2.0”

BREAKING: The new Season 8 Trailer for Game of Thrones came out, and I’m fully torqued
I realize I’m TFTB’s resident college football writer, and that the combine was just this past weekend. However, there was a much more important topic that arose today, so I’m just going to give you the condensed version of what happened at the combine: Kyler Murray didn’t throw, DK Metcalf is a Greek god (unlessContinueContinue reading “BREAKING: The new Season 8 Trailer for Game of Thrones came out, and I’m fully torqued”
Did the CFL just kill Johnny Manziel?
Earlier today, the Montreal Alouettes announced that, under the direction of the CFL, Johnny Manziel’s contract would be terminated effective immediately. This decision came after Manziel supposedly violated the terms of his contract, also making him ineligible to play for any other CFL team. https://twitter.com/MTLAlouettes/status/1100834562165362693 It’s still unclear what prompted the team’s action, but itContinueContinue reading “Did the CFL just kill Johnny Manziel?”

I Love NFL Draft Prospect DK Metcalf, and Here’s Why You Should Too
On some of the latest episodes of Thoughts From The Bench’s own Two Beers Deep podcast, my favorite internet personality, Greg Malek, has made one thing very clear: he’s not convinced that one particular wide receiver from Ole Miss should be taken early in this year’s NFL Draft. Which wide receiver am I talking about?ContinueContinue reading “I Love NFL Draft Prospect DK Metcalf, and Here’s Why You Should Too”
Smalls’ Way-too-Early Heisman Predictions
I’m gonna be honest, it’s a rough time of the year for me right now. The Super Bowl is over, there are 184 days left until college football starts again (yes, I keep track), and the AAF just isn’t quite doing it for me. The draft isn’t until late April, and we still have aContinueContinue reading “Smalls’ Way-too-Early Heisman Predictions”
Mike Leach is going to be a Washington State University professor
You read that correctly. This might be the greatest thing to ever happen to me. According to the Associated Press, Washington State head football coach (and the man who might be my real dad) Mike Leach is trying to teach a collegiate class this spring. The class will reportedly be open to 40 current WSUContinueContinue reading “Mike Leach is going to be a Washington State University professor”
The Latest in College Football’s “Free Agency” Movement
The year 2019 will be known as one of the more absurd offseasons in college football history. The introduction of the infamous transfer portal completely changed the landscape of the sport and how players approach their future. I’ve already written one article about it, so go ahead and check it out if you want aContinueContinue reading “The Latest in College Football’s “Free Agency” Movement”
