Well well well…here we are. An official Greg Malek blog, hot off the presses. But alas…he didn’t add any words to this mock! Oh no Greg, what have you done!
But fine people of the interweb, do not fret. It is I! Greg Malek’s dear friend Deke here to add some words to this “blog”. Greg didn’t ask me to dissect his mock but to be fully transparent, I’d probably do it even if he asked me NOT to do it.
First things first, I can almost promise you with all of my being that Bryce is going first but I LOVE that Greg has Stroud. The draft show is always better when we disagree! Greg also has Gonzo going ahead of Witherspoon, a move that I love but am interested in seeing on the big stage next Thursday.
If I’m Chicago fans, I’m coming for Greg’s neck for JSN at 9! Imagine a world where you not only trade your second round pick (Pick 32) but that went so poorly you now have to take ANOTHER receiver. I love getting fields weapons and am not knocking the pick at all but man, I’d be down to watch Chicago burn!
Greg also has Dalton Kincaid ahead of Michael Mayer. I said in my positional rankings that I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see Kincaid go first so good on you Greg. One other thing to mention about the TEs here is that Greg has three in the first round, a feat we haven’t seen since 2017. Could you honestly imagine a two-TE set with Dallas Goedert AND Darnell Washington? Good luck covering that one next year.
