The 2022 NFL Draft has come to an end. It feels weird like when Christmas morning is over and the excitement is all gone, but you still have everything you were excited for right in front of you. It will be weird not doing the Mock Drafts anymore until next year, but now we just have to look forward to the 2022 season. All these rookies that were drafted are gonna get a chance to show their respective teams what they can do.
The question is finally asked though. Who had the best overall draft class from this year? There are a multitude of candidates that deserve the first place spot. However, teams that drafted well last year kind of bit the bullet this year. Sometimes drafting can put pressure on some teams. Let us see who cracked under it and who came away as the rightful winner in this contest.
32.) New England Patriots
Grade; D

Cole Strange (IOL/Chattanooga) | Round 1/Pick 29 |
Tyquan Thorton (WR/Baylor) | Round 2/Pick 50 |
Marcus Jones (CB/Houston) | Round 3/Pick 85 |
Jack Jones (CB/Arizona State) | Round 4/Pick 121 |
Pierre Strong Jr. (RB/South Dakota State) | Round 4/Pick 127 |
Bailey Zappe (QB/Western Kentucky) | Round 4/Pick 137 |
Kevin Harris (RB/South Carolina) | Round 6/Pick 183 |
Sam Roberts (IDL/Northwest Missouri State) | Round 6/Pick 200 |
Chasen Hines (IOL/LSU) | Round 6/Pick 210 |
Andrew Stueber (OT/Michigan) | Round 7/Pick 245 |
What in the absolute hell was this draft for the New England Patriots? A team that just a year ago was one of the best teams to come out with a draft class shocks the world here by absolutely sucking in this year’s draft. Let’s start with the Cole Strange pick. Bill pulls this every year as he takes a guy that was in the round three-four range, and he makes him a high level pick. This one was just too “strange” to me. Thornton was a big question for me. He has speed, but that is about it. The Patriots also don’t draft the best receivers so take that as you will. Finally, Bailey Zapp got taken ahead of Sam Howell. Yep that was a thing. By far the worst draft class out of everyone.
31.) Miami Dolphins
Grade; C-

Channing Tindall (LB/Georgia) | Round 3/Pick 102 |
Erik Ezukanma (WR/Texas Tech) | Round 4/Pick 125 |
Cameron Goode (EDGE/Cal) | Round 7/Pick 224 |
Skylar Thompson (QB/Kansas State) | Round 7/Pick 247 |
Hard to judge a draft class off of four players, but personally, I believe that Channing Tindall is a good fit for the Dolphins. They lost all their other capital trading for former Kansas City Chiefs receiver Tyreek Hill. You get what you get and nothing else, so let’s move on.
30.) Arizona Cardinals
Grade; C-

Trey McBride (TE/Colorado State) | Round 2/Pick 55 |
Cameron Thomas (EDGE/San Diego State) | Round 3/Pick 87 |
Myjai Sanders (EDGE/Cincinnati) | Round 3/Pick 100 |
Keaontay Ingram (RB/USC) | Round 6/Pick 201 |
Lecitus Smith (IOL/Virginia Tech) | Round 6/Pick 215 |
Christian Matthew (CB/Valdosta State) | Round 7/Pick 244 |
Jesse Luketa (EDGE/Penn State) | Round 7/Pick 256 |
Marquis Hayes (IOL/Oklahoma) | Round 7/Pick 257 |
I am just so confused here. The Cardinals ended up trading their first round pick to the Ravens in exchange for receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown. This was terrible. If Amari Cooper can go for a 6th round pick then how in the absolute hell does Brown go for a first. So dumb on Arizona’s part. They needed to address corner and edge. They addressed edge with Thomas and Sanders. You would have thought they should have taken a corner instead of Trey McBride. How is he going to coexist with Ertz on the field. This was a bad draft by Arizona.
29.) Los Angeles Rams
Grade; C

Logan Bruss (OT/Wisconsin) | Round 3/Pick 104 |
Decobie Durant (CB/South Carolina State) | Round 4/Pick 142 |
Kyren Williams (RB/Notre Dame) | Round 5/Pick 164 |
Quentin Lake (S/UCLA) | Round 6/Pick 211 |
Derion Kendrick (CB/Georgia) | Round 6/Pick 212 |
Daniel Hardy (EDGE/Montana State) | Round 6/Pick 235 |
Russ Yeast (S/Kansas State) | Round 7/Pick 253 |
AJ Arcuri (OT/Michigan State) | Round 7/Pick 261 |
The Rams are the Rams so we knew this was going to mean much to them. So I’ll touch on one guy I love for this system. It is Notre Dame running Kyren Williams. I know they have Akers, Henderson, Michel, etc. I do like Williams though. He’s a good runner and a good fit for the Rams.
28.) Dallas Cowboys
Grade; C

Tyler Smith (OT/Tulsa) | Round 1/Pick 24 |
Sam Williams (EDGE/Ole Miss) | Round 2/Pick 56 |
Jalen Tolbert (WR/South Alabama) | Round 3/Pick 88 |
Jake Ferguson (TE/Wisconsin) | Round 4/Pick 129 |
Matt Waletzko (OT/North Dakota) | Round 5/Pick 155 |
DaRon Bland (CB/Fresno State) | Round 5/Pick 167 |
Damone Clark (LB/LSU) | Round 5/Pick 176 |
John Ridgeway (IDL/Arkansas) | Round 5/Pick 178 |
Devin Harper (LB/Oklahoma State) | Round 6/Pick 193 |
Oh da boys, what are we doing here? Tulsa’s Tyler Smith in the first round is a big question mark because Jermaine Johnson was there for them to take. They needed edge help badly. Instead, they settle for a penalty driven lineman, and draft Sam Williams at edge in the second instead. Williams has some off the field issues so Dallas doesn’t care. Tolbert as the receiver isn’t great either, but Ferguson is okay. Just an overall reach heavy draft for Dallas.
27.) Las Vegas Raiders
Grade; C

Dylan Parham (IOL/Memphis) | Round 3/Pick 90 |
Zamir White (RB/Georgia) | Round 4/Pick 122 |
Neil Farrell Jr. (IDL/LSU) | Round 4/Pick 126 |
Matthew Butler (IDL/Tennessee) | Round 5/Pick 175 |
Thayer Munford (IOL/Ohio State) | Round 7/Pick 238 |
Brittain Brown (RB/UCLA) | Round 7/Pick 250 |
The Raiders come in with limited draft capital as well because they traded for former Green Bay Packers receiver Davntae Adams. So the Raiders didn’t end up picking until the 3rd round in this one. I really like the Dylan Parham and Zamir White selections. White will come in handy since they decided not to give Josh Jacobs the fifth-year option. I also like the addition of Matthew Butler from Tennessee. It wasn’t much though so it kind of has to be graded low in my honest opinion. Decent though.
26.) New Orleans Saints
Grade; C+

Chris Olave (WR/Ohio State) | Round 1/Pick 11 |
Trevor Penning (OT/Northern Iowa) | Round 1/Pick 19 |
Alontae Taylor (CB/Tennessee) | Round 2/Pick 49 |
D’Marco Jackson (LB/Appalachian State) | Round 5/Pick 161 |
Jordan Jackson (IDL/Air Force) | Round 6/Pick 194 |
The Saints needed to fix two major positions of need; receiver and offensive tackle. They did that with the additions of Ohio State’s Chris Olave and Northern Iowa’s Trevor Penning. I don’t like the Penning pick despite it being exactly what they need. Trading up for Olave also cost them draft capital. Alontae Taylor is an interesting one given that there was other talent there so all that put together gives the Saints the position they are in.
25.) Washington Commanders
Grade; C+

Jahan Dotson (WR/Penn State) | Round 1/Pick 16 |
Phidarian Mathis (IDL/Alabama) | Round 2/Pick 47 |
Brian Robinson (RB/Alabama) | Round 3/Pick 98 |
Percy Butler (S/Louisiana) | Round 4/Pick 113 |
Sam Howell (QB/North Carolina) | Round 5/Pick 144 |
Cole Turner (TE/Nevada) | Round 5/Pick 149 |
Chris Paul (OT/Tulsa) | Round 7/Pick 230 |
Christian Holmes (CB/Oklahoma State) | Round 7/Pick 240 |
The Commanders suffer simply from Snyder is this occasion. The man’s ungodly obsession with Alabama talent comes back again in this draft with the selections of Mathis and Robinson. That entire defensive line is basically all Alabama at this point, it is so frustrating. Dotson was a good pick though. I am excited to see what the kid can do in this offense since he wasn’t a major vocal point at Penn State. Sam Howell also falling to them in the 5th is a steal in case Wentz is a dummy yet again.
24.) San Francisco 49ers
Grade; C+

Drake Jackson (EDGE/USC) | Round 2/Pick 61 |
Tyrion Davis-Price (RB/LSU) | Round 3/Pick 93 |
Danny Gray (WR/SMU) | Round 3/Pick 105 |
Spencer Burford (OT/UTSA) | Round 4/Pick 134 |
Samuel Womack (CB/Toledo) | Round 5/Pick 172 |
Nick Zakeji (OT/Fordham) | Round 6/Pick 187 |
Kalia Davis (IDL/UCF) | Round 6/Pick 220 |
Tariq Castro-Fields (CB/Penn State) | Round 6/Pick 221 |
Brock Purdy (QB/Iowa State) | Round 7/Pick 262 |
The 49ers puzzle me. Really, the only pick out of this entire draft I like is Drake Jackson. Kyle Shanahan can’t stop himself from continuing to draft running backs so we will continue to see who will run the hot hand in San Francisco. Danny Gray out of SMU is a bad pick, I am sorry, but it is. His hands are terrible so you must have confidence in trying to keep Deebo Samuel. Even though he still wants out after the draft. Not a good look.
23.) Chicago Bears
Grade; B-

Kyler Gordon (CB/Washington) | Round 2/Pick 39 |
Jaquan Brisker (S/Penn State) | Round 2/Pick 48 |
Velus Jones Jr. (WR/Tennessee) | Round 3/Pick 71 |
Braxton Jones (OT/Southern Utah) | Round 5/Pick 168 |
Dominque Robinson (EDGE/Miami- OH) | Round 5/Pick 174 |
Zachary Thomas (OT/San Diego State) | Round 6/Pick 186 |
Trestan Ebner (RB/Baylor) | Round 6/Pick 203 |
Doug Kramer (IOL/Illinois) | Round 6/Pick 207 |
Ja’Tyre Carter (OT/Southern University) | Round 7/Pick 226 |
Elijah Hicks (S/California) | Round 7/Pick 254 |
Trenton Gill (P/North Carolina State) | Round 7/Pick 255 |
Chicago really drafted two elite studs on the defensive side of the ball with Washington corner Kyler Gordon and Penn State safety Jaquan Brisker. After that is where things get dicey as they drafted Velus Jones Jr. out of Tennessee. Not sure if they believe Darnell Mooney is going to be the number one there now, but Justin Fields has to be scratching his head at the wideout pick and the Braxton Jones pick as well. They needed to get a better tackle than him to make sure Fields wasn’t running for his life, but oh well I guess.
22.) Denver Broncos
Grade; B-

Nik Bonito (EDGE/Oklahoma) | Round 2/Pick 64 |
Greg Dulcich (TE/UCLA) | Round 3/Pick 80 |
Damarri Mathis (CB/Pitt) | Round 4/Pick 115 |
Eyioma Uwazurike (EDGE/Iowa State) | Round 4/Pick 116 |
Delarrin Turner-Yell (S/Oklahoma) | Round 5/Pick 152 |
Montrell Washington (WR/Stanford) | Round 5/Pick 162 |
Luke Wattenberg (IOL/Washington) | Round 5/Pick 171 |
Matt Henningsen (IDL/Wisconsin) | Round 6/Pick 206 |
Falon Hicks (CB/Wisconsin) | Round 7/Pick 232 |
I felt strongly about Denver’s draft after it was over, but now I stand here second-guessing myself. Bonito wasn’t a bad selection, but in my honest opinion, he was more of a third-round guy. We will see if he can fill in the hole left by Von Miller and help Bradley Chubb out on the defense. Greg Dulcich is a great pick though by the Broncos as they desperately needed to get a tight end after packaging Noah Fant to the Seattle Seahawks. I also like Mathis in the 4th, but yeah I looked back and had to take a double-take on this one.
21.) Jacksonville Jaguars
Grade; B-

Travon Walker (EDGE/Georgia) | Round 1/Pick 1 |
Devin Lloyd (LB/Utah) | Round 1/Pick 27 |
Luke Fortner (IOL/Kentucky) | Round 3/Pick 65 |
Chad Muma (LB/Wyoming) | Round 3/Pick 70 |
Snoop Conner (RB/Mississippi) | Round 5/Pick 154 |
Gregory Junior (CB/Ouachita Baptist) | Round 6/Pick 197 |
Montaric Brown (CB/Arkansas) | Round 7/Pick 222 |
Say what you want, but Travon Walker became the 1st overall pick in the draft. The best choice should have been to draft Aidan Hutchinson however as he was the better choice. Now if Walker pans out it is huge for them, but he is truly boom or bust with his athleticism. Trading back into the first round to take Devin Lloyd was a great move by them. Luke Fortner should help to rebuild that offensive line a little bit, and also getting a great linebacker in Chad Muma makes us all at TFTB very happy. It would honestly be higher, but the Walker pick kind of drags it down a bit.
20.) Los Angeles Chargers
Grade; B-

Zion Johnson (IOL/Boston College) | Round 1/Pick 17 |
JT Woods (S/Baylor) | Round 3/Pick 79 |
Isaiah Spiller (RB/Texas A&M) | Round 4/Pick 123 |
Otito Ogbonnia (DT/UCLA) | Round 5/Pick 160 |
Jamaree Salyer (IOL/Georgia) | Round 6/Pick 195 |
Ja’Sir Taylor (CB/Wake Forest) | Round 6/Pick 214 |
Deane Leonard (CB/Mississippi) | Round 7/Pick 236 |
Zander Horvath (FB/Purdue) | Round 7/Pick 260 |
The Chargers were like the Broncos in my opinion. I thought they drafted decent, but looking back on it there were some issues I had with it. Zion Johnson was a good pick with his versatility, but is he going to be playing right tackle here? Penning was available for them to take to pair with Rashawn Slater from last year, but I guess they have confidence he will be a better tackle prospect than Penning. Isaiah Spiller is a good pick as he can fill in for Austin Ekeler whenever he gets hurt (don’t worry he will). I do also like the Jamaree Salyer selection out of Georgia. The rest is kind of wishy-washy for me though.
19.) Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Grade; B

Logan Hall (IDL/Houston) | Round 2/Pick 33 |
Luke Goedeke (OT/Central Michigan) | Round 2/Pick 57 |
Rachaad White (RB/Arizona State) | Round 3/Pick 91 |
Cade Otton (TE/Washington) | Round 4/Pick 106 |
Jake Camarda (K/Georgia) | Round 4/Pick 133 |
Zyon McCollum (CB/Sam Houston State) | Round 5/Pick 157 |
Ko Kieft (TE/Minnesota) | Round 6/Pick 218 |
Andre Anthony (EDGE/LSU) | Round 7/Pick 248 |
The Bucs didn’t need to do much here, but adding Logan Hall after trading down with Jacksonville was an excellent move. He will most likely fill in for that Suh role. Big win for them there. Cade Otton was also a good selection with the uncertainty of Gronk still in the air. Rachaad White was an interesting pick given how deep the running back room already was. Jake Camarda in the 4th is a head scratcher, but I do also love the Zyon McCollum pick later in the draft. Not bad at all.
18.) Cleveland Browns
Grade; B

Martin Emerson (CB/Mississippi State) | Round 3/Pick 68 |
Alex Wright (EDGE/UAB) | Round 3/Pick 78 |
David Bell (WR/Purdue) | Round 3/Pick 99 |
Perrion Winfrey (IDL/Oklahoma) | Round 4/Pick 108 |
Cade York (K/LSU) | Round 4/Pick 124 |
Jerome Ford (RB/Cincinnati) | Round 5/Pick 156 |
Michael Woods II (WR/Oklahoma) | Round 6/Pick 202 |
Isaiah Thomas (EDGE/Oklahoma) | Round 7/Pick 223 |
Dawson Deaton (IOL/Texas Tech) | Round 7/Pick 246 |
The Browns didn’t have a selection until the 2nd round because of the Watson trade, but then they traded back more to collect some picks. Martin Emerson isn’t a bad selection, but you gotta figure they should have gone with a better edge rusher instead of taking Alex Wright ten picks later. David Bell should be a decent pairing with Amari Cooper, but I wasn’t on the David Bell train since watching him play and then watching his combine. Perrion Winfrey offers some upside in the defensive tackle position. What is with these kickers getting taken in the 4th though as Cade York gets selected? Head scratcher for me boys and girls.
17.) Cincinnati Bengals
Grade; B

Daxton Hill (S/Michigan) | Round 1/Pick 31 |
Cam Taylor-Britt (CB/Nebraska) | Round 2/Pick 60 |
Zachary Carter (IDL/Florida) | Round 3/Pick 95 |
Cordell Volson (OT/North Dakota State) | Round 4/Pick 136 |
Tycen Anderson (S/Toledo) | Round 5/Pick 166 |
Jeffrey Gunter (EDGE/Coastal Carolina) | Round 7/Pick 252 |
The Bengals didn’t have a lot of picks in this draft, but they were able to capitalize on decent talent despite that. Michigan safety Daxton Hill and Nebraska corner Cam Taylor-Britt offer upside in the secondary especially since Jessie Bates hasn’t signed his franchise tender yet. Carter is a decent defensive tackle to take, and Cordell Volson offers upside to an offensive line that already looks reestablished.
16.) Tennessee Titans
Grade; B

Treylon Burks (WR/Arkansas) | Round 1/Pick 18 |
Roger McCreary (CB/Auburn) | Round 2/Pick 35 |
Nicholas Petit-Frere (OT/Ohio State) | Round 3/Pick 69 |
Malik Willis (QB/Liberty) | Round 3/Pick 86 |
Hassan Haskins (RB/Michigan) | Round 4/Pick 131 |
Chigoziem Okonkwo (TE/Maryland) | Round 4/Pick 143 |
Kyle Philips (WR/UCLA) | Round 5/Pick 163 |
Theo Jackson (CB/Tennessee) | Round 6/Pick 204 |
Chance Campbell (LB/Mississippi) | Round 6/Pick 219 |
The Titans come in halfway through this list, and if they didn’t trade away AJ Brown, they would have been higher in my honest opinion. They didn’t want to pay him so they got the cheaper version of him in Treylon Burks. Roger McCreary is a decent corner to grab in the 2nd round. Nicholas Petit-Frere will look to take the reigns from Taylor Lewan soon. However, the additions I am most excited about are Malik Willis in the 3rd round and Hassan Haskins in the 4th. They should be great picks going forward. Linebacker was a position they desperately needed though, and they didn’t grab one until the 7th.
15.) Minnesota Vikings
Grade; B+

Lewis Cine (S/Georgia) | Round 1/Pick 32 |
Andrew Booth Jr. (CB/Clemson) | Round 2/Pick 42 |
Ed Ingram (IOL/LSU) | Round 2/Pick 59 |
Brian Asamoah (LB/Oklahoma) | Round 3/Pick 66 |
Akayleb Evans (CB/Missouri) | Round 4/Pick 118 |
Esezi Otomewo (EDGE/Minnesota) | Round 5/Pick 165 |
Ty Chandler (RB/North Carolina) | Round 5/Pick 169 |
Vederian Lowe (OT/Illinois) | Round 6/Pick 184 |
Jalen Nailor (WR/Michigan State) | Round 6/Pick 191 |
Nick Muse (TE/South Carolina) | Round 7/Pick 227 |
The Vikings were all over the board in this draft man. They traded back 20 spots with the Lions to take Lewis Cine which is a nice move for them. Hands down, the best decision in this draft was taking Andrew Booth in the 2nd round as now they finally have a corner that can help out veteran Patrick Peterson. Ingram, Asamoah, and Evans are also great additions. They played the board well but maybe missed out on some other talent so no big complaints other than that.
14.) Indianapolis Colts
Grade; B+

Alec Pierce (WR/Cincinnati) | Round 2/Pick 53 |
Jelani Woods (TE/Virginia) | Round 3/Pick 73 |
Bernhard Raimann (OT/Central Michigan) | Round 3/Pick 77 |
Nick Cross (S/Maryland) | Round 3/Pick 96 |
Eric Johnson (IDL/Missouri State) | Round 5/Pick 159 |
Andrew Ogletree (TE/Youngstown State) | Round 6/Pick 192 |
Curtis Brooks (IDL/Cincinnati) | Round 6/Pick 216 |
Rodney Thomas II (S/Yale) | Round 7/Pick 239 |
The Colts didn’t pick until the 2nd round and started off hot by adding Cincinnati receiver Alec Pierce to pair with Pittman for Matt Ryan to throw to. Not only that, but they grabbed a mammoth of a tight end in Virginia’s Jelani Woods. His athleticism should thrive in big-play moments for the Colts. Raimann sliding to the 3rd helps out the Colts on the offensive line scenario as well as adding Nick Cross in the secondary. However, they needed an edge rusher in this class, and they didn’t pick one up. A little bit of a miss for me.
13.) Green Bay Packers
Grade; B+

Quay Walker (LB/Georgia) | Round 1/Pick 22 |
Devonte Wyatt (IDL/Georgia) | Round 1/Pick 28 |
Christian Watson (WR/North Dakota State) | Round 2/Pick 34 |
Sean Rhyan (OT/UCLA) | Round 3/Pick 92 |
Romeo Doubs (WR/Nevada) | Round 4/Pick 134 |
Zach Tom (OT/Wake Forest) | Round 4/Pick 140 |
Kingsley Enagbare (EDGE/South Carolina) | Round 6/Pick 179 |
Tariq Carpenter (S/Georgia Tech) | Round 7/Pick 228 |
Jonathan Ford (IDL/Miami-FL) | Round 7/Pick 234 |
Rasheed Walker (OT/Penn State) | Round 7/Pick 249 |
Samori Toure (WR/Nebraska) | Round 7/Pick 258 |
The Packers almost gave Aaron Rodgers a heart attack with their first-round selections in Quay Walker and Devonte Wyatt. The defense got better although I argue that I don’t know if Walker should have been the guy there. The Packers, however, did draft a great receiver in Christian Watson for Rodgers to hopefully replace Adams. They also picked up two more in Romeo Doubs out of Nevada and Samori Toure out of Nebraska as well as a number of decent offensive linemen. The Walker pick keeps this from being any higher though unfortunately.
12.) Buffalo Bills
Grade; B+

Kaiir Elam (CB/Florida) | Round 1/Pick 23 |
James Cook (RB/Georgia) | Round 2/Pick 63 |
Terrel Bernard (LB/Baylor) | Round 3/Pick 89 |
Khalil Shakir (WR/Boise State) | Round 5/Pick 148 |
Matt Araiza (P/San Diego State) | Round 6/Pick 180 |
Christian Benford (CB/Villanova) | Round 6/Pick 185 |
Luke Tenuta (OT/Virginia Tech) | Round 6/Pick 209 |
Baylon Spector (LB/Clemson) | Round 7/Pick 231 |
The Bills did decent work in the draft this year. I thought trading up for Elam was a bit of a reach, but with McDuffie going two picks prior and Stingley and Sauce going back to back in the top five gave them a bit of urgency I guess. I actually really like the James Cook pick. A guy who can run and catch out of the backfield is surely going to make Josh Allen happy. An underrated pick goes to the receiver out of Boise State; Khalil Shakir. Could be a great slot guy to replace Beasley.
11.) Carolina Panthers
Grade; A-

Ikem Ekwonu (OT/NC State) | Round 1/Pick 6 |
Matt Corral (QB/Ole Miss) | Round 3/Pick 94 |
Brandon Smith (LB/Penn State) | Round 4/Pick 120 |
Amare Barno (EDGE/Virgnia) | Round 6/Pick 189 |
Cade Mays (OT/Tennessee) | Round 6/Pick 199 |
Kalon Barnes (CB/Baylor) | Round 7/Pick 242 |
Not gonna lie, I wasn’t super excited to see what Carolina would do in the draft, but they proved me wrong. They went the right route in taking offensive tackle Ikem Ekwonu with their first pick. That dude is gonna start a trend in building that offensive line back up. They then traded up using picks from next year in order to get their quarterback in Ole Miss’s Matt Corral. Brandon Smith was also a great move for them to improve that linebacker room.
10.) New York Giants
Grade; A-

Kayvon Thibodeaux (EDGE/Oregon) | Round 1/Pick 5 |
Evan Neal (OT/Alabama) | Round 1/Pick 7 |
Wan’Dale Robinson (WR/Kentucky) | Round 2/Pick 43 |
Joshua Ezeuda (IOL/North Carolina) | Round 3/Pick 67 |
Cordale Flott (CB/LSU) | Round 3/Pick 81 |
Daniel Bellinger (TE/San Diego State) | Round 4/Pick 112 |
Dane Belton (S/Iowa) | Round 4/Pick 114 |
Micah McFadden (LB/Indiana) | Round 4/Pick 146 |
D.J. Davidson (IDL/Arizona State) | Round 5/Pick 147 |
Marcus McKethan (IOL/North Carolina) | Round 5/Pick 173 |
Darrian Beavers (LB/Cincinnati) | Round 6/Pick 182 |
Not bad for Daboll’s first draft as the Giants’ head coach. He grabs two studs right off the bat in the first round in Oregon’s Kayvon Thibodeaux and Alabama’s Evan Neal. Robinson was a bit of a head-scratcher, but moves were made here. Daniel Bellinger is a great tight end to add since they lost Evan Engram to the Jaguars, and Cordale Flott adds some hope to that secondary that is looking to get rid of James Bradberry. Not bad at all.
9.) Atlanta Falcons
Grade; A-

Drake London (WR/USC) | Round 1/Pick 8 |
Arnold Ebiketie (EDGE/Penn State) | Round 2/Pick 38 |
Troy Anderson (LB/Montana State) | Round 2/Pick 58 |
Desmond Ridder (QB/Cincinnati) | Round 3/Pick 74 |
Deangelo Malone (EDGE/Western Kentucky) | Round 3/Pick 82 |
Tyler Allgeier (RB/BYU) | Round 5/Pick 151 |
Justin Shaffer (IOL/Georgia) | Round 6/Pick 190 |
John FitzPatrick (TE/Georgia) | Round 6/Pick 213 |
The Falcons addressed some major needs for their team here. Drake London is a stud and adding him automatically makes him their number one weapon aside from tight end Kyle Pitts. They also managed to snag defensive studs Arnold Ebiketie and Troy Anderson to build that defense back up. Finally, the cherry on top came when they selected Cincinnati quarterback Desmond Ridder in the 3rd round. He is the best chance to go good in this division knowing that Marcus Mariota isn’t the full-time answer.
8.) Pittsburgh Steelers
Grade; A-

Kenny Pickett (QB/Pitt) | Round 1/Pick 20 |
George Pickens (WR/Georgia) | Round 2/Pick 52 |
DeMarvin Leal (IDL/Texas A&M) | Round 3/Pick 84 |
Calvin Austin III (WR/Memphis) | Round 4/Pick 138 |
Connor Heyward (TE/Michigan State) | Round 6/Pick 208 |
Mark Robinson (LB/Mississippi) | Round 7/Pick 225 |
Chris Oladokun (QB/South Dakota State) | Round 7/Pick 241 |
Okay Steelers, I see you. Man, was I impressed with this draft compared to last year’s. Knowing this was Colbert’s last year as general manager, he pulled out all the stops to make Pittsburgh take some great picks. Kenny Pickett threw me through a big loop after huge Malik Willis talks. However, after some consideration, I firmly believe we made the right pick in Pickett. Then, we took a stud receiver in Georgia’s George Pickens. The kid is gonna be a freaking stud. I love his aggression and passion for the game. DeMarvin Leal is a huge steal in the 3rd round from Texas A&M. Finally, we grabbed another awesome receiver in Calvin Austin III from Memphis. The kid has Tyreek Hill-level speed, and it makes it even better knowing we swiped him from the Ravens. Connor Heyward, while a great story shouldn’t have been picked. That was my only flaw in this whole draft class. What a draft.
7.) Seattle Seahawks
Grade; A

Charles Cross (OT/Mississippi State) | Round 1/Pick 9 |
Boye Mafe (EDGE/Minnesota) | Round 2/Pick 40 |
Kenneth Walker III (RB/Michigan State) | Round 2/Pick 41 |
Abraham Lucas (OT/Washington State) | Round 3/Pick 72 |
Coby Bryant (CB/Cincinnati) | Round 4/Pick 109 |
Tariq Woolen (CB/UTSA) | Round 5/Pick 153 |
Tyreke Smith (EDGE/Ohio State) | Round 5/Pick 158 |
Bo Melton (WR/Rutgers) | Round 7/Pick 229 |
Dareke Young (TE/Lenoir Rhyne) | Round 7/Pick 233 |
Seattle surprised me here people. They actually drafted well. Charles Cross is an interesting pick given the fact I believe this team will be run first, and he is the best pass blocker. Then you went five great picks in a row. Mafe is an awesome edge rusher. Walker could arguably be the best running back in this class. Lucas is a good tackle to develop. Finally, Bryant and Woolen are a great corner duo that should finally fix that secondary.
6.) Houston Texans
Grade; A

Derek Stingley Jr. (CB/LSU) | Round 1/Pick 3 |
Kenyon Green (IOL/Texas A&M) | Round 1/Pick 15 |
Jalen Pitre (S/Baylor) | Round 2/Pick 37 |
John Metchie III (WR/Alabama) | Round 2/Pick 44 |
Christian Harris (LB/Alabama) | Round 3/Pick 75 |
Dameon Pierce (RB/Florida) | Round 4/Pick 107 |
Thomas Booker (IDL/Stanford) | Round 5/Pick 150 |
Teagan Quitoriano (TE/Oregon State) | Round 5/Pick 170 |
Austin Deculus (OT/LSU) | Round 6/Pick 205 |
The Texans got a ton of stud talent in this draft man. Going from the worst team that drafted last year to being in the top ten is amazing. Stingley was a surprise as three, but if he is healthy he will hit. Green is a good guard despite where he was taken. I could argue he could have been taken later, but oh well. Then they hit on the next four picks. Pitre is an awesome safety coming out of Baylor. Metchie should provide a great balance in the offense other than Brandin Cooks. Harris is a solid linebacker out of Alabama and Dameon Pierce should provide solid stats to a running back room.
5.) Detroit Lions
Grade; A+

Aidan Hutchinson (EDGE/Michigan) | Round 1/Pick 2 |
Jameson Williams (WR/Alabama) | Round 1/Pick 12 |
Josh Pachal (EDGE/Kentucky) | Round 2/Pick 46 |
Kerby Joseph (S/Illinois) | Round 3/Pick 97 |
James Mitchell (TE/Virginia Tech) | Round 5/Pick 177 |
Malcolm Rodriguez (LB/Oklahoma State) | Round 6/Pick 188 |
James Houston IV (EDGE/Jackson State) | Round 6/Pick 217 |
Chase Lucas (CB/Arizona State) | Round 7/Pick 237 |
The Lions knock it out of the park with their first-round selections in Aidan Hutchinson and Jameson Williams. You had to give up a lot to move up to get Williams, but when he gets healthy, he will be lighting the league on fire. I also love the Josh Pachal and Kerby Joseph picks as well. This team took great selections, and Dan Campbell should be biting the knees of every opponent. Smashing draft for them.
4.) Philadelphia Eagles
Grade; A+

Jordan Davis (IDL/Georgia) | Round 1/Pick 13 |
Cam Jurgens (IOL/Nebraska) | Round 2/Pick 51 |
Nakobe Dean (LB/Georgia) | Round 3/Pick 83 |
Kyron Johnson (EDGE/Kansas) | Round 6/Pick 181 |
Grant Calcaterra (TE/SMU) | Round 6/Pick 198 |
The Eagles gave up a lot in this draft, but I would argue they got so much more back. Starting with trading up and getting Jordan Davis to get into the rotation with Fletcher Cox is a great pick. Then, they traded their second first-round pick to get AJ Brown from the Titans. Couple the fact that they got the second-best center in this class with Cam Jurgens, and the fact that they were able to steal Nakobe Dean in the third round make this a slam dunk draft if the kid can get healthy.
3.) Kansas City Chiefs
Grade; A+

Trent McDuffie (CB/Washington) | Round 1/Pick 21 |
George Karlaftis (EDGE/Purdue) | Round 1/Pick 30 |
Skyy Moore (WR/Western Michigan) | Round 2/Pick 54 |
Bryan Cook (S/Cincinnati) | Round 2/Pick 62 |
Leo Chenal (LB/Wisconsin) | Round 3/Pick 103 |
Joshua Williams (CB/Fayetteville State) | Round 4/Pick 135 |
Darian Kinnard (OT/Kentucky) | Round 5/Pick 145 |
Jaylen Watson (CB/Washington State) | Round 7/Pick 243 |
Isaih Pacheco (RB/Rutgers) | Round 7/Pick 251 |
Nazeeh Johnson (S/Marshall) | Round 7/Pick 259 |
The Chiefs had some needs to fill, and boy did they fill them. Trent McDuffie adds some immediate help to that secondary while George Karlaftis gets down and dirty in the trenches where they desperately needed help. I also really like the Kinnard and Chenal picks, but there is a clear-cut star of this Chiefs draft; Skyy Moore. That kid is going to be the exact replacement they needed to fill in that Tyreek Hill role. The Chiefs did really well in this one man.
2.) Baltimore Ravens
Grade; A+

Kyle Hamilton (S/Notre Dame) | Round 1/Pick 14 |
Tyler Linderbaum (IOL/Iowa) | Round 1/Pick 25 |
David Ojabo (EDGE/Michigan) | Round 2/Pick 45 |
Travis Jones (DT/UConn) | Round 3/Pick 76 |
Daniel Faalele (OT/Minnesota) | Round 4/Pick 110 |
Jalyn Armour-Davis (CB/Alabama) | Round 4/Pick 119 |
Charlie Kolar (TE/Iowa State) | Round 4/Pick 128 |
Jordan Stout (P/Penn State) | Round 4/Pick 130 |
Isaiah Likely (TE/Coastal Carolina) | Round 4/Pick 139 |
Damarion Williams (CB/Houston) | Round 4/Pick 141 |
Tyler Badie (RB/Missouri) | Round 6/Pick 196 |
Seeing this as a Steelers fan is painful, but it is hard to knock the Ravens in this draft because they dominated man. Trading Marquise Brown for a 1st round pick from Arizona was a huge steal for them. In the first round, they took the two guys that were the best in their positions; Kyle Hamilton and Tyler Linderbaum. Then they grabbed a huge defensive weapon in edge rusher David Ojabo who would have been a 1st round pick had he not gotten hurt. Then, you grab great players in Travis Jones and Daniel Faalele. What a draft for Baltimore.
1.) New York Jets
Grade; A+

Ahmad “Sauce” Gardner (CB/Cincinnati) | Round 1/Pick 4 |
Garrett Wilson (WR/Ohio State) | Round 1/Pick 10 |
Jermaine Johnson (EDGE/Florida State) | Round 1/Pick 26 |
Breece Hall (RB/Iowa State) | Round 2/Pick 36 |
Jeremy Ruckert (TE/Ohio State) | Round 3/Pick 101 |
Max Mitchell (OT/Louisiana) | Round 4/Pick 111 |
Micheal Clemons (EDGE/Texas A&M) | Round 4/Pick 117 |
There was not a better draft class this year than the Jets. They absolutely stole the draft this year man. They got the best corner, the best wideout, one of the best edge rushers, and the best running back in this draft. Some would have even argued Jeremy Ruckert was the second-best tight end in this class. Sauce, Wilson, Johnson, and Breece… Come on man. Is there anything else to say here? Like the Jets just freakin’ killed it guys. The only knock is that I hope Mechi Becton can stay healthy for that offensive line.
