Okay people let’s see how we did for tight ends now. Goedert was able to pull a nice double digit performance now that Zach Ertz is in Arizona. Also, the sit of the week was Jonnu Smith who might have had a better game had he not gotten injured. Oh well, who knows anymore people? Let’s get on with week eight.
Starts
Start of the Week;
Hunter Henry vs Los Angeles Chargers

REVENGE GAME TIME! That’s right, Hunter Henry faces off against his old squad in the Chargers. Their defense is not good at covering tight ends. Henry should exploit this and come away with some big points. Also, with Smith injured, Henry should see more looks go his way against Los Angeles in this one.
Tyler Higbee vs Houston Texans

The Texans have become the team to stream against with tight ends. I believe that every single game so far this season, a tight end has caught a touchdown against them. We will see if Higbee can keep the streak going. He was a decent option last week for Stafford, and i believe he will be a much better option this week. Count on it.
Robert Tonyan vs Arizona Cardinals

The matchup is not a favorable one by far, but who else does Rodgers have to throw the ball too? It is literally Cobb and him. I believe Tonyan actually might be on the verge of a comeback as he scored a touchdown last weekend against the Washington Football Team. He should see plenty of looks here as the volume is just too big for him now with Adams and Lazard both out.
Zach Ertz vs Green Bay Packers

In his first game as an Arizona Cardinal, Zach Ertz scored a touchdown. I like this. I like this a lot. Max Williams had his ups and downs with the team, but Ertz is just another wonderful weapon for Murray to use knowing his past experience in Philadelphia. I like him again in this one against the Packers Thursday night.
Evan Engram vs Kansas City Chiefs

Evan Engram might be a little bad at football, but there is not a lot of options out there with bye weeks and injuries. This week’s matchup on Monday against the Chiefs might be good for him though. The Chiefs have been awful as of late, and they are just as awful at guarding tight ends this season. They are 28th in the NFL. If you don’t have a lot of options here you go.
Sleepers;
Dalton Schultz vs Minnesota Vikings
Tyler Conklin vs Dallas Cowboys
Tommy Sweeney vs Miami Dolphins
Sits
Sit of the Week;
Rob Gronkowski vs New Orleans Saints

Granted this is if he plays, and by the looks of it, he is making a return. I don’t like this matchup against the Saints. They rank in the top ten at defending the tight end position. Plus, Brady has so many other weapons in this offense that he can give the ball to. Just not a good look people, so I would sit him as he continues to try to get back on the field.
Jared Cook vs New England Patriots

The Patriots are the number two team at defending the tight end position. Jared Cook is okay when he is given the ball, but I believe this game will belong to the wideouts in Allen and Williams rather than Cook. If you are like me, you have no choice but to play him because dumb dumb Kittle got hurt again. Screw it man. I hate tight ends.
Ricky Seals-Jones vs Denver Broncos

Jones was able to play last weekend and got double digit points against the Packers. However, Logan Thomas is trying to make a return which means Ricky will be going back into the bench slot for the Washington Football Team. The matchup is not a crazy one either though. The Broncos cover the tight end well., so well to the point that they are the 4th ranked team in the NFL at covering the position.
Mo Alie-Cox vs Tennessee Titans

Cox was on the sit list last weekend too. Unfortunately, he must not have read it because he still scored a touchdown against the San Francisco 49ers. I do not believe lighting will strike again here so don’t chase the points. He faces the Tennessee Titans who are the 5th best team at covering tight ends. Look for Pittman and the other receivers to do better than Cox this week people.
Cole Kmet vs San Francisco 49ers

Kmet just like the rest of the Bears can’t seem to get anything going in this offense. Now to be fair, his points have gotten better, but he will now face the 49ers. I get it that Cox scored a touchdown on them last weekend, but I do not see Justin Fields being able to get the ball down that much in order for Kmet to even think about scoring. Not worth your time people. Keep him on the bench.
Busts;
Pat Friermurth vs Cleveland Browns
Gerald Everett vs Jacksonville Jaguars
David Njoku vs Pittsburgh Steelers
