Start’ Em Sit’ Em Wide Receivers- Week 13

Starts

Start of the Week –

A.J. Brown vs Cleveland Browns

Brown has been the backbone of this receiving core in Tennessee. He’s only had two games this whole season with single digit fantasy points. Look for him to explode against a Cleveland Browns secondary that ranks 22nd against receivers. Brown has risen above challenges before, and this one he shall conquer yet again!

Brandin Cooks vs Indianapolis Colts

Cooks might not be in the most promising matchup in his tenure with the Texans, but Watson has to throw someone the ball, and with Fuller suspended and Cobb on IR, the Texans will likely lean with Cooks who can do some damage given the right situation. I mean just look what happened to A.J. Brown on one play last weekend.

Jarvis Landry vs Tennessee Titans

Landry exploded for his best game of the season last weekend against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He has a great matchup scheduled yet again when he takes on the Tennessee Titans. They rank 28th against defending wide receivers this season. Lock and load him boys.

DeVante Parker vs Cincinnati Bengals

Parker did great last weekend against the Jets getting over 100 yards through the air. He has a good opportunity to be the cow bell for targets whether it is Tua or Fitzpatrick throwing him the ball. They take on the Bengals this weekend who are ranked 20th against wideouts. It’s an okay matchup if you need a good flex play.

Deebo Samuel vs Buffalo Bills

Deebo went stupid on the Rams last weekend catching 13 passes for over 100 yards. He has a great matchup despite the return of Brandon Aiyuk from the dread COVID tests. The Bills defense is tough, but so was the Rams and it is enough to have me start him as a flex play this Monday night.

Sleepers;

Breshad Perriman vs Las Vegas Raiders

Josh Reynolds vs Arizona Cardinals

Michael Pittman vs Houston Texans

Sits

Sit of the Week –

Tyler Lockett vs New York Giants

The matchup on paper looks great, but I’m having a hard time trusting Tyler Lockett this weekend against the Giants. D.K. Metcalf has become Wilson’s favorite target in the passing game, and with the return of Josh Gordon, it’s not looking good for Lockett’s production.

Jamison Crowder vs Las Vegas Raiders

Crowder’s production has fallen off the ladder, and it is hard to picture him as the number one receiver for the Jets now that Perriman is healthy and Mims is breaking out. His matchup against the Raiders isn’t bad, but Sam Darnold just hasn’t played great this season. That Raiders defense is good too which is why I’m staying away from it.

Christian Kirk vs Los Angeles Rans

Kirk’s progress has dwindled since his big points in Miami. It actually has dropped drastically single digit points. Also, he is going up against the Rams are ranked the best team at defending against wide receivers this season. Leave him on the bench.

Marvin Jones vs Chicago Bears

The Bears haven’t been the best defense all season, but they are great at defending against wide receivers. They are the 2nd best team in fact. So Marvin Jones is a no go from me despite the divisional matchup. Also, Kenny Golladay is slated to return as well.

A.J. Green vs Miami Dolphins

Whatever value of fantasy Green had died when Burrow got injured. Now you have to rely on guys like Allen and Finley to pass the ball, and they can barely get it done. I would not only sit Green, but I’d drop him if you have someone you’d like to pick up from the waivers. This is especially true as he faces the Dolphins whose defense has looked great in recent weeks.

Busts;

Sammy Watkins vs Denver Broncos

Tim Patrick vs Kansas City Chiefs

Mike Williams vs New England Patriots
