Start’ Em Sit’ Em Wide Receivers – Week 7

Starts

Start of the Week –

Terry McLaurin vs Dallas Cowboys

Though Terry McLaurin’s abilities might be limited due to quarterback pay, there is no doubt that Terry has the ability to put some real damage against the weakest defense in the today’s NFL. The wide receiver position has scored nine touchdowns against Dallas this season and the second most points to the position in case you needed convincing.

Tyler Boyd vs Cleveland Browns

Boyd has sometimes gotten the short end of the stick when it comes to targets and points between himself, Green, and Higgins, but I feel good about his production this week. The last time Boyd faced the Browns, he scored 20 fantasy points. I feel like he’ll follow a similar path this week.

D.J. Chark vs Los Angeles Chargers

While Chark came second fiddle to Keelan Cole in terms of points, he finished with fourteen targets on the day. I like him if he plays this weekend against the Chargers. Despite the matchup, I am thinking this could go to a shootout depending on what kind of Minshew we get this weekend.

Chase Claypool vs Tennesee Titans

Claypool is starting to become the new number one receiver in Pittsburgh, and he’ll have a great matchup this weekend against a vulnerable Tennessee Titans secondary that constantly finds itself in shootouts. You won’t be able to shootout this Pittsburgh defense. So Claypool is definitely a smart play this week.

Jamison Crowder vs Buffalo Bills

Crowder is the only thing the Jets have going for them. He is clearly the number one target for Darnold and Flacco. So even with a bad matchup on the horizon with the Buffalo Bills, Crowder scored over 24 points. Granted most of that came on one play, but it still worth a note as Crowder has scored big points against hard matchups.

Sleepers;

Travis Fulgham vs New York Giants

Christian Kirk vs Seattle Seahawks

Tee Higgins vs Cleveland Browns

Sits

Sit of the Week –

Tyler Lockett vs Arizona Cardinals

I hate to say it, but Lockett has become just another distraction from his real target D.K. Metcalf. So having a matchup against the Arizona Cardinals does not favor the speedster as they held all Dallas receivers except Amari Cooper to without touchdowns. I see that happening here with Metcalf being the one who scores and not Lockett.

D.J. Moore vs New Orleans Saints

Moore popped did the best he could last weekend against a very powerful Chicago defense. Robby Anderson ended up getting more yards, and somehow I just feel that Anderson is becoming Bridgewater’s number one look. With that being said, Moore decreases to number two, and he plays a very stingy Saints defense coming off a bye week.

Julian Edelman vs San Francisco 49ers

Edelman is starting to lose his trust in Cam Newton as Newton is relying a lot on running backs for underhanded passes this season. Edelman will look to get some faith back when he faces off against the San Francisco 49ers. it will not be an easy task though as the 49ers made Cooper Kupp look foolish last weekend with three catches for only 11 yards.

Michael Gallup vs Washington Football Team

I had high hopes for Gallup coming into this game, but to be fair he did drop a touchdown pass at the end of the first half. I like the upside he has, but the problem is that they play the Washington Football Team who is the best at defending wide receivers. It looks like Gallup might be a call for the bench this week.

Tim Patrick vs Kansas City Chiefs

Tim Patrick has come out as the number one wideout in Denver which is weird because of how I thought Jerry Jeudy would be in this offense. However, both of these guys are not good plays this week as they held every receiver except Diggs to almost nothing. The only reason Diggs scored is because of all the targets he received.

Busts;

Deebo Samuel vs New England Patriots

Emmanuel Sanders vs Carolina Panthers

Henry Ruggs III vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers
