Start of the Week –
Josh Allen vs Miami Dolphins
Allen had a pretty good starting week against the Jets. While he made some minor mistakes, the secret weapon to beat the Dolphins was revealed when Cam Newton ran for 75 yards. Josh is quick, and he can use his arm when needed to as well. I like him this week so lock him in as the start of the week.
Cam Newton vs Seattle Seahawks
Cam looked great in his Patriots debut. Although, he didn’t throw the ball much, he will get an opportunity to do just that against a Seahawks defense that gave up 450 passing yards to Matt Ryan. They also gave up the fourth most rushing yards to quarterbacks in 2019 as well as three rushing touchdowns.
Aaron Rodgers vs Detroit Lions
Alright…maybe I was a bit harsh on Rodgers. He torched that Minnesota defense and now he has a matchup with a defense that is even worse in the Detroit Lions that just gave up a 4th quarter comeback to Mitch Trubisky. Start Rodgers with confidence.
Tom Brady vs Carolina Panthers
While Tom Brady didn’t win his debut with the Bucs, he still scored decent fantasy points even with some discrepancies. I like him a lot this week against a bad Carolina Panthers defense. Expect a lot of work and points from him as the nerves should be gone for Brady now.
Jimmy Garoppolo vs New York Jets
I like Jimmy as a streaming quarterback this week against possibly the worst defense in the NFL (other than the Panthers). They get Sanu as a nice wideout option and Bourne is still there. He also proved to pass down to his running backs. Now if he could just not cause Kittle to get hurt anymore that would be pretty freaking great.
Ben Roethlisberger vs Denver Broncos
Philip Rivers vs Minnesota Vikings
Ryan Tannehill vs Jacksonville Jaguars
Sit of the Week –
Carson Wentz vs Los Angeles Rams
Carson Wentz was supposed to be a bright light against the Washington Football Team and man how bad was that performance? He did throw two TD’s, but then failed to score a single point, threw two INT’s, and got sacked eight times. You think the Rams are gonna be any easier? No thank you! Fade hard.
Deshaun Watson vs Baltimore Ravens
I know you have to start Watson. I’m just putting him in here as a warning against the Baltimore Ravens. Even without Earl Thomas, this defense destroyed Baker Mayfield with an improved offensive line. Waton’s O-line was getting throttled by Kansas City. There it is. Your warning. Listen to it.
Jared Goff vs Philadelphia Eagles
Goff, who I listed as a sit’ em last week didn’t score a single touchdown and threw a pick against the Dallas defense. Even with Philly’s defense being decent on the road, they are great at home. Fade on Goff as I believe he won’t get it done on the road this week.
Matthew Stafford vs Green Bay Packers
Matt Stafford did decent last week, but he still got intercepted by the Bears defense. I would avoid starting him against the Packers. Even though the Vikings were able to provide almost a shut-out, the Packers still allowed just a little over 13 fantasy points to opposing quarterbacks in 2019. Not a big fan of him this weekend.
Teddy Bridgewater vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Teddy didn’t do too bad against the Raiders, but overall it wasn’t as great as people thought it was going to be with the rushing attack being the focal point of the game. I would fade on Teddy this week despite what Brees and the Saints did to the Bucs defense last weekend. Better safe than sorry on this one.
Daniel Jones vs Chicago Bears
Drew Lock vs Pittsburgh Steelers
Derek Carr vs New Orleans Saints
