So if you guys don’t know anything about this band let me break it down for you. The Ghost Inside is a metalcore band that I listened to back in the day. They were involved in a huge bus crash in 2015 just outside of El Paso, Texas resulting in two deaths (their bus driver and the man driving the truck they collided with). Many people on the bus were injured including members of the Ghost Inside.
The band started to recover from the injuries (most notably their drummer; Andrew Tkaczyk who had lost his leg), and they finally all were able to get together and play music once again. Andrew even showed off a new device called “The Hammer” that gave him the ability to play the pedals on the drum kit even without his leg.
They started recording about three years after the incident and played a comeback tour in their hometown of Los Angeles, California at The Shrine in 2019. They have adapted and conquered through the tragedy and today released a new single; Aftermath.
Man if this doesn’t make you tear up a little bit, I don’t know what will. I wish all of the best to this band in their future and I can’t wait to hear the new album. They said it best in this song man; Triumph over Tragedy.
