The problem has corrected itself and for the first time in his career, Devin Booker is finally an NBA All-Star.
Due to a groin injury, Lillard pulled out of the NBA All-Star game and the 3-point contest and he’ll be replaced by Booker in both events.
I think the NBA truly got lucky with this one because Devin Booker deserved to be an All-Star. He’s having one of the best seasons of his career averaging just under 27-points per game (26.4) and he’s also tallying 6.3 assists and 4.2 rebounds.
Although he’s playing for a Suns team that has only managed to win 22 games, this guy has earned an All-Star spot. He is currently the NBA’s 10th best scorer and was one of the most notable snubs when the rosters were first announced. To put it lightly, Booker was a little upset.
Let me tell you this, I’m a Booker guy. I’ve seen him play, I’ve watched his game and this guy is a straight killer. He’s got the mid-range, the long-range, the ability to score around the rim and over the course of his 5-year career he’s become a better passer too.
He’s got it all and he’s finally an All-Star. Congrats Book!
