Start’ Em Sit’ Em Wide Receivers – Week 4

Start of the Week –

Tyler Boyd vs Pittsburgh Steelers

It is no secret that we cannot cover the slot receiver. Hopefully, with the Steelers bringing on Minkah Fitzpatrick that it will help, but for now this matchup for Tyler Boyd shouldn’t be one you pass up as the Steelers who have given up over an average of thirty six points to the slot position over the last three weeks , not to mention an average of almost 177 yards a game. This is Boyd’s week to do some real damage.

Larry Fitzgerald vs Seattle Seahawks

Legend Larry is doing big things now in fantasy with Kyler Murray at quarterback. Last week Larry had five receptions for thirty six yards and a touchdown paired with those stats against the Panthers. This week they get the Seahawks who gave up some huge points to receivers in the past. Christian Kirk could also be a viable option this week as well.

Tyler Lockett vs Arizona Cardinals

Lockett has had monster weeks back to back from the Steelers to the Saints with  combined twenty one receptions, 233 receiving yards and a touchdown. Now he faces probably one of his biggest fantasy point values yet. He faces an Arizona defense that has been terrible to wide receivers in particular slot receivers. Lockett plays more than half of the game from the slot should thrive in this game.

Terry McLaurin vs New York Giants

Say what you want about the Redskins, but the main thing to take away is that Terry McLaurin is a stat monster receiver. He has had sixteen receptions with 257 yards and three touchdowns in three games. This week he gets a matchup where he could feast in as the Giants just gave up 380 yards and three touchdowns to a struggling Jameis Winston. Plus it doesn’t hurt that the Giants are next to last when it comes to going against wideouts. Start McLaurin with confidence this week.

Sterling Shepard vs Washington Redskins

Speaking of the Giants, their passing game is back in order with Daniel Jones now starting at the quarterback position. Sterling Shepard thrived last week because of it having seven receptions for 100 yards and a touchdown. This week he should match that or possibly do even greater against a terrible Redskins defense who gave up three touchdowns to receiver Taylor Gabriel last week.

Marquise Brown vs Cleveland Browns

Mecole Hardman vs Detroit Lions

D.J. Chark vs Denver Broncos

Sit of the Week –

Stefon Diggs vs Chicago Bears

Diggs is a tough one to sit so I get it if you have to roll with him this week against the Bears. It isn’t going to be a pretty one though as Diggs has become the forgotten one so to speak with most of the attention in recent weeks going to Adam Thielen and Dalvin Cook. Start with extreme caution though as Cousins does not do well against the Bears and I’d assume they would try to find Thielen or run with Cook instead of Diggs this week.

John Brown vs New England Patriots

Brown has come alive in fantasy with a new team and a new quarterback. So why the sit this week? The New England defense has kept receivers out of the endzone all year with only JuJu Smith-Schuster posted more than seventy five receiving yards. This is a tough one, but keep in mind I had Brown as a start last week against the Bengals and he didn’t come away with a lot of points in that one either. Keep him sidelined this week.

Allen Robinson vs Minnesota Vikings

Robinson has been a reliable fantasy option in PPR formats scoring at least twelve points in his last two contests. He hasn’t found the endzone yet though, and with a tough matchup against Xavier Rhodes on its way this weekend I would just play it safe and keep him sidelined. If you have to start him start him with caution because this game isn’t going to be pretty.

Nelson Agholor vs Green Bay Packers

Agholor has had some fantasy upside as of late with both Alshon Jeffrey and DeSean Jackson being out due to injury. However, Jeffrey is supposedly playing against the Packers this week which doesn’t bold well for his usage. The Packers are also ranked the fourth best defense in the NFL right now and have held receivers at no touchdowns on the year. Just sit him this week. Don’t chase points.

Josh Gordon vs Buffalo Bills

Josh Gordon saw some life breathe back into his fantasy status when Edelman exited with a rib injury last week against the Jets. However, with Edelman returning to practice in limited fashion it is safe to say he will play in this game. Gordon will get his looks, but honestly the Bills defense is a tough one and i expect a receiver will get points in this game, but it will be Julian Edelman not Josh Gordon.

Jarvis Landry vs Baltimore Ravens

Corey Davis vs Atlanta Falcons

Chris Godwin vs Los Angeles Rams
