Today College Hockey returns to the outdoors when the Michigan Wolverines battle against the #6 Fighting Irish at Notre Dame Stadium. The faceoff for the game has been pushed back to 4:30pm due to sunny weather conditions and concern for player safety. The game will be airing on NBC Sports Network for anyone wanting to see some of the action.
Notre Dame (12-5-1) has won 8 of their last 9 and currently sits third in the Big Ten Conference with 15 points (5-3)
Meanwhile the Wolverines (6-7-6) are winless in their past nine games, which includes six ties during that stretch. They are currently tied for fourth in the Big Ten Conference with 12 points (2-4-4).
The two teams look to continue building upon their historic rivalry. They split the previous two-game series in Ann Arbor November 9-10. Michigan was upset by Notre Dame in the Frozen Four last year, so this leads us to believe today’s game will truly be something special. And oh yeah, the Michigan Wolverines will be wearing these beautiful jerseys.

Whether you are chanting “Go Blue” or “Go Irish” you should be tuning into this one. There’s just something special about some outdoor hockey, especially when two rivals battle it out.
