Start’ Em Sit’ Em Running Backs – Week 7

I was a little worried about James Robinson for a second, but the kid pulled it off and was a great start if you had him in your lineups last weekend against the Miami Dolphins. Also the Eagles continue to misuse Miles Sanders. The kid hasn’t done anything all year, but if you are like me, you can’t let him go because he’s just too high of a player. Just a bad situation, but both panned out the way I wanted them to so let’s figure out if we can do it again for week seven.

Starts

Start of the Week;

Darrell Henderson vs Detroit Lions

Henderson has been playing some great football and has been saving a lot of fantasy owners from losing matchups. Seems like the kid is the man right now for the Rams even with them signing Sony Michel. He thrashed the Giants last weekend on the ground and through the air. Now he gets a Detroit Lions defense who just gave up big yardage to Joe Mixon. Start him if you got him.

Josh Jacobs vs Philadelphia Eagles

Jacobs was a huge question mark going into the season with the signing of Kenyan Drake, but he has done good for himself so far. I like him in this matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. Their defense gave up two rushing scores to Leonard Fournette and a decent amount of yardage as well. Drake might come into the mix here too, but Jacobs should be a wonderful start for owners everywhere.

Leonard Fournette vs Chicago Bears

Speaking of playoff Lenny, he finds himself in the starting column once again. This week he and the Bucs will face the Chicago Bears. It might not look the best on paper, but overall, the Bears have been very generous in the points department for the running backs. Look for him to do some damage on the ground and through the air in this one with Ronald Jones watching from the sidelines.

Cordarrelle Patterson vs Miami Dolphins

At this point, if you have a running back and he is facing the Dolphins you start him. The Dolphins can’t stop the run to save their lives and Patterson can not only run, but he can catch as well being a former receiver. Matt Ryan loves to target this kid, and he should flourish against this piss poor Dolphins defense.

Chuba Hubbard vs New York Giants

In the absence of McCaffrey, Hubbard has done quite well for himself. He has put up great rushing numbers against some pretty good rushing defenses. Now he gets a great matchup against the Giants. Their defense allowed two touchdowns to Darrell Henderson last week so Hubbard should be a great RB2 option this week yet again.

Sleepers;

Mike Davis vs Miami Dolphins

Melvin Gordon/Javonte Williams vs Cleveland Browns

James Conner vs Houston Texans

Sits

Sit of the Week;

Antonio Gibson vs Green Bay Packers

Gibson is a struggle this year for fantasy owners. He is dealing with multiple injuries, and he even had to go get an MRI after the Chiefs game. This becomes a big decision if he becomes active because he just hasn’t done a whole lot this season. Things are going south for the Washington Football Team fast, and so is Gibson’s fantasy value. I’d honestly sideline him this week. I know it is a tough call, but trust me you’ll thank me for it.

Miles Sanders vs Las Vegas Raiders

Until the Eagles start properly using Miles Sanders, I refuse to let people go through the trauma I am going through right now. Being a Miles Sanders owner is like taking a big bite out of a Fudgesicle. It hurts. Every week this guy has potential, but somehow Jalen Hurts rushes more than him, and then the Eagles pass for a majority of the game. It’s so annoying at this point. So yes, while the matchup is very favorable for him, I don’t trust the Eagles and how they are using him.

Trey Sermon vs Indianapolis Colts

Sermon is coming off a bye week, and to be honest I just am not sure what the running back room is gonna be like for this game. Some are saying Sermon and some are saying Mitchell. It’s just not great, and game script could very well call for the run. However, knowing how evil Shanahan is with fantasy running backs, I am not risking it.

Devonate Booker vs Carolina Panthers

At this point, I wouldn’t start any New York Giant right now even if they are healthy. That goes without saying in the case of Booker. He was a big pickup off the waiver wire, and I get it man. I really do. However, this offense is now gonna revolve around him to get the ball rolling, and despite a decent performance by Dalvin Cook last week, I don’t see it going well for Booker this week against the Panthers.

David Johnson vs Arizona Cardinals

I am going against a lot of my inner beliefs here, but don’t start Johnson against Arizona hoping for revenge game type numbers. He is honestly being used as pass catch back which isn’t a bad thing, but if you have Johnson in your starting lineup, you have bigger issues my friend. This game will simply not go in the Texans favor and it won’t be in Johnson’s favor either. Keep him sidelined.

Busts;

Michael Carter vs New England Patriots

Alex Collins vs New Orleans Saints

Nyheim Hines vs San Francisco 49ers
