Wide Receivers were not my strong suit this week as they just didn’t perform when I said they would, they performed well when I said they were going to suck. So let us hope I can get you guys the right picks this week for your fantasy lineups. Here we go people!
Starts
Start of the Week;
Odell Beckham Jr vs Minnesota Vikings

Odell came back to the starting lineups last weekend against the Bears and put up decent numbers. I expect the numbers to be much greater this weekend when he faces the Minnesota Vikings. Their secondary has been most generous with points to wide receivers. Even though Patrick Peterson will most likely be on him, I like this matchup for Odell to get his first touchdown of the 2021 campaign for the Browns.
Brandin Cooks vs Buffalo Bills

To be fair, I though that Cooks and Mills weren’t going to have much chemistry when they faced the Panthers. Yet Cooks was clearly the number one target for Davis Mills to throw the ball too. Even against a great defense in the Panthers, Cooks still put up over 20 fantasy points without a touchdown. He should remain in starting lineups until further notice. That goes for this week as well against the Buffalo Bills.
Ja’Marr Chase vs Jacksonville Jaguars

Chase has done better than I have expected this season as he has caught a touchdown pass in every single game. He even caught two last weekend against the Steelers. He is clearly Joe Burrow’s number one target, and that won’t change this week. Last weekend, the Jaguars gave up two one hundred yard receivers in the form of AJ Green and Christian Kirk. Chase should have no problem this Thursday as he looks to add to his impressive rookie season.
Jakobi Meyers vs Tampa Bay Buccaneers

Meyers is growing into a huge portion of the Patriots offense week after week. He sees at least double digit targets from Mac Jones, and is the best weapon in the Patriots offense by far. The matchup might look bad on paper, but the Bucs have a huge difficulty guarding against slot receivers. It seems to be their only kryptonite. So adding Meyers in as a great flex option is a must for this high stakes game.
Corey Davis vs Tennessee Titans

You guys know I am a big sucker for revenger games. Corey Davis will face his old team in the Tennessee Titans this weekend, and he could not have a better matchup. The defense is still garbage, but then again so is the Jets offense. Davis remains the key vocal point if Zach Wilson can get him the ball. He hasn’t done well since week one, so if he is going to have a comeback this has to be the week to do it.
Sleepers;
Jaylen Waddle vs Indianapolis Colts
Marvin Jones vs Cincinnati Bengals
DeSean Jackson vs Arizona Cardinals
Sits
Sit of the Week;
Robby Anderson vs Dallas Cowboys

I think it is about time to hit the panic button on Robby Anderson. Last year, he was the shining light as a receiver, but this year even with Sam Darnold at quarterback, he has been utterly bad in the stat sheets. With DJ Moore healthy, Anderson has received fewer and fewer targets every week to him. Now he also seems to be losing work to rookie Terrace Marshall Jr. The Cowboys secondary is better which just means to sit Anderson even more this week.
Chase Claypool vs Green Bay Packers

Claypool was supposed to be the big receiver to count on when throwing the ball downfield. However, it seems like Big Ben can no longer throw the ball downfield. What makes matters worse is that Claypool is having a case of the drops this year, and it is costing the Steelers big time. Add in the fact that Diontae Johnson is likely to return from injury, and you have a recipe for disaster this week against the Green Bay Packers.
Marquise Brown vs Denver Broncos

Brown’s stats should have been a lot better last weekend against the Lions, but he had one too many drastic drops in crucial situations. I know it might not be a great move to sit him this week, but the Broncos defense is good man no matter how fast you are. Rashod Bateman also got activated off of injured reserve which might not mean anything now, but I am sure it will come into effect down the road with Sammy Watkins being there as well. I just don’t like this matchup man.
AJ Green vs Los Angeles Rams

For the first time in a long time, AJ Green finally looked like himself again with over 100 yards in an NFL game. I would not go chasing the points though. He faces a Rams defense that is the real deal. He might be getting some more looks with Hopkins getting shadowed with a rib injury, but I have a feeling that Christian Kirk and Rondale Moore will find a lot more success this week. I could be wrong, but I can’t bank on Green this week.
Hunter Renfrow vs Los Angeles Chargers

Renfrow has been great this season scoring double digit points in every game so far. However, he faces a Chargers defense that has held multiple great receivers in its tracks like Tyreek Hill and Amari Cooper. The mountain of success stops here fro Renfrow as I believe Ruggs, Edwards, and Waller all have a better chance at success than him this week.
Busts;
Tim Patrick vs Baltimore Ravens
Laviska Shenault vs Cincinnati Bengals
Darnell Mooney vs Detroit Lions
