Gronk WWE Bound?

Oh hell yeah people. It’s actually happening. Robert Gronkowski, the retired New England Patriots tight end is set to close a deal with the World Wrestling Entertainment.

Gronk has gone on record saying the following at a sponsor’s news conference in August;

  • “With wrestling, I don’t feel like I would be a full-time wrestler, but there is one thing I’m down for,” Gronkowski said. “And that’s to do one crazy match. Practice it for a little bit, go out there — like in a Royal Rumble — go out there, I got my friend in WWE [Rawley], practice it and do a full-on WWE match. I’m not saying when, maybe five years. I got the rest of my life to do that. I’ve always dreamed about doing that, just one time, going in there and going full-out. That may be a possibility, one time, down the road.”

So he’s no full timer, but just having him do a match does huge for your brand. He’s done work for the WWE before though as he was apart of the Andre The Giant Battle Memorial at Wrestlemania 33 in 2017. He was on the outside and jumped in to help his friend Mojo Rawley.

I love Rob Gronkowski and I love the WWE. This would be a dream to put him in like a crazy stipulation match. Honestly he should just form a faction with Travis Kelce and George Kittle to become the best tight end trio in the WWE. Tell me I’m wrong people. That would be such a great faction and people would pay huge money to see it.

I supposed I’d have to wait for that magical moment to happen so for now Gronk will have to do which is still a huge deal for me. Rumors are that he could appear as early as the 20th of March for Smackdown. Fingers crossed that he shows up.
