I’ve said since Kingsbury was hired that Kyler Murray was going number 1 if he declared for the NFL draft and bypassed a baseball career. Raiders take a monster of a player in Ed Oliver and passed on another in Williams. They have plenty of holes but there is no wrong pick with Oliver or Williams. The Giants are the pick that will throw the wrinkle in the draft by passing on Haskins here and waiting until later to get a QB. Williams is too good to pass up here at 6. Haskins ends up in Miami where they need a QB. They can’t trust Ryan Fitzpatrick to get them wins as he’s always been a journeyman. The next QB gone is Daniel Jones taken by the Redskins over Drew Lock (who ends up at the Giants 2 picks later). I’m not sold on Daniel Jones but I believe he fits better with what the Redskins want to do on offense. Steelers fans’ hearts get broken when Devin Bush gets taken by Minnesota at 18. If he slides this far I fully expect the Steelers to trade up, however, this isn’t a mock trade. Steelers at 20 grab the playmaker they need in Devin Bush. I fully expect the Steelers to trade up to grab him earlier if Devin White slips outside the top 10. I think Winovich sneaking into the first round is crazy but with the trade of Frank Clark, they need a pass rusher and will not wait considering Ferrell would have been taken a pick before them. Jeffrey Simmons is a top 10 talent so of course New England scoops him up at 32 to round out the first round. All in all, this probably won’t happen but it’s a fun way to kick off one of the best times of the year in the NFL draft.
