Pick 1 – Chicago Bears
Caleb Williams (QB/USC)
The lock of the century, something historic would have to happen for the Chicago Bears to not select Caleb Williams tonight. They’ve taken swings at quarterbacks but none of their previous draft picks have had the foundation that Williams is walking into. Lock it in.
Pick 2 – Washington Commanders
Jayden Daniels (QB/LSU)
The smokescreen around Daniels has been large, a sitatuion he seems to have created for himself. He mentioned that landing spots like Vegas would be a bit more ideal, but the Commanders need to hit on this quarterback, especially after shipping off Howell to Seattle. Daniels is an intriguing prospect who has earned the number two spot.
Pick 3 – New England Patriots
Drake Maye (QB/UNC)
There’s been a ton of rumors about this being the first trade-out spot but the Patriots have a new regime and a handful of potential quarterbacks to pick from. Maye vrs. JJ has been a large discussion here but for me, Maye feels like the obvious selection. His big, can throw through wind and has no major flags.
Pick 4 – Arizona Cardinals
Marvin Harrison Jr. (WR/Ohio State)
If the Cardinals stay here, MHJ has to be the pick. They could easily move out of this spot for a team like Minnesota or Las Vegas, but Marvin Harrison Jr. is as pro-ready a wide receive as we’ve ever seen.
Pick 5 – Los Angeles Chargers
Malik Nabers (WR/LSU)
The Chargers have created a large amount of smoke themselves because Harbaugh is a psychopath but wide receive feels like the right move since they decided to move on from Keenan Allen and Mike Williams. Nabers is a freak and some (very stupid) scouts have him as the top receiver in this class all together. Get Herbert some new toys and revamp that offense.
Pick 6 – New York Giants
Rome Odunze (WR/Washington)
The Giants are very real contenders to snag a quarterback in this draft but with a prospect like Odunze still available, you’d be hard pressed for me to select the likes of J.J. McCarthy here. Daniel Jones may not be the guy, but Odunze is a clear cut elite level prospect at receiver.
Pick 7 – Tennessee Titans
Joe Alt (OT/Notre Dame)
Again, this draft is pretty safe when we don’t add trades. Joe Alt can slide right on beside Peter Skoronski and give Will Levis a fighting chance at standing up right for an entire season. Alt may not have the upside of some of these other tackles but he is absolutely the safest guy at the position in this class.
Pick 8 – Atlanta Falcons
Laiatu Latu (EDGE/UCLA)
Edge seems to be the move, but who to select? Dallas Turner feels to be the guy but as Curt Budosh kindly noted, his pass rush moves are a HUGE flag here since the kid has one traditional move. Latu is a top-tier defensive talent with some injury concerns but he’s a tremendous talent at edge, something the Falcons needs.
Pick 9 – Chicago Bears
Dallas Turner (EDGE/Alabama)
Rome falling here would be ideal, but the Bears can find a quality partner for Montez Sweat. The pick is Turner, a fast edge who doesn’t have to be the guy for Chicago but can grow into his own. Chicago could move from here, but don’t trade away from talent.
Pick 10 – New York Jets
Olumuyiwa Fashanu (OT/Penn State)
Brock Bowers is a popular pick here but you need to keep Aaron Rodgers healthy, despite his last injury coming from his own two feet. Olu is an elite level prospect who doesn’t have the floor of Joe Alt, but has the highest ceiling in this draft. He isn’t quite Mekhi Becton in the “ceiling” discussion, but he should bring instant depth to that o-line.
Pick 11 – Minnesota Vikings
J.J. McCarthy (QB/Michigan)
I love that he fell mainly because ESPN BET is a sham but J.J. feels like he will be a Viking one way or another. The kid didn’t have to do much with the Michigan rushing attack but his potential and mindset have shot him up boards.
Pick 12 – Denver Broncos
Bo Nix (QB/Oregon)
The Broncos now have Jarrett Stidham and Zach Wilson in their QB room, neither of which feel like the future. I don’t know if I really believe Bo goes here but all signs point to the Broncos loving the Oregon QB.
Pick 13 – Las Vegas Raiders
JC Latham (OT/Alabama)
Anytime someone has something negative to say about Latham they mention the playoffs but Latham is a mountain who can move with plenty of positive tape to watch. The Raiders should be aggressive this year for a Quarterback but if they can’t snag one of the top 4 guys, waiting on Penix in the second feels right. Get a tackle and protect whoever it is that’s throwing your ball.
Pick 14 – New Orleans Saints
Taliese Fuaga (OT/Oregon State)
Fuaga has scouts absolutely swoon, and for good reason. He played RT at Oregon State and has some tremendous numbers but can easily swing inside at guard. The Saints need to do what they can to build a strong line, and Fuaga is a terrific start.
Pick 15 – Indianapolis Colts
Brock Bowers (TE/Georgia)
Bowers is an S Tier prospect, he just happens to be in a sport that values his position weirdly. The Colts would love to get ARich a top tier talent like Bowers which makes this pick a “sprint to the podium” moment.
Pick 16 – Seattle Seahawks
Troy Fautanu (OT/Washington)
Fautanu may be the best o-line prospect due to his ability to play everywhere, something Seattle absolutely needs. He looks like a guard at the next level but the Seahawks snag a true every position lineman here.
Pick 17 – Jacksonville Jaguars
Quinyon Mitchell (CB/Toledo)
Mitchell has a lot of what you want to see in a day one start at corner and the Jags need secondary help. Mitchell could go as high as 12 in this draft, but he seems to be the clear number one guy in a deep corner class.
Pick 18 – Cincinnati Bengals
Brian Thomas Jr. (WR/LSU)
With Tee Higgins on the way our, Brian Thomas Jr. can step right in and help the Bengals win. He is a scoring machine and would be a terrific complement to Chase from day one.
Pick 19 – Los Angeles Rams
Terrion Arnold (CB/Alabama)
Arnold is smooth and technical, two things that made him a nightmare for receivers at Bama. The Rams finally have a first round pick this year and can walk away with an elite talent here.
Pick 20 – Pittsburgh Steelers
Graham Barton (OG-OC/Duke)
Barton isn’t sexy, but he is so sexy at the same time. The Duke Tackle projects interior at the next level and has previous experience at the center position, a hole the Steelers need to desperately fill.
Pick 21 – Miami Dolphins
Amarius Mims (OT/Georgia)
The Dolphins also have gaping holes along the offensive and defensive lines. To me, they have to go offensive line and finally add some help to make sure Tua has something to stand on. Mims is raw, but he has the potential to be something amazing in the NFL if given the time.
Pick 22 – Philadelphia Eagles
Cooper DeJean (S/Iowa)
Cooper is an enigma, mainly around where he projects at the next level. I think the majority of people have him at the Safety position which is a hole the Eagles can fill here.
Pick 23 – Minnesota Vikings
Johnny Newton (DT/Illinois)
Newton is a plug on the d-line and a great prospect to fall into the Vikings lap here. He’s just a large man and would be a day one upgrade for that Minnesota defense.
Pick 24 – Dallas Cowboys
Jackson Powers-Johnson (OC/Oregon)
JPJ is a sure fire hit at the center position and the Cowboys need to start to produce some depth on their o-line once again. There are flags about his concussions in the past, but going to Dallas makes JPJ a day one starter.
Pick 25 – Green Bay Packers
Nate Wiggins (CB/Clemson)
I love Wiggins despite his injury at the combine. He has a lean frame and speed, a perfect compliment to Jaire Alexander in Green Bay. With their division become sneaky good, snagging a top tier corner to pair with your elite corner makes sense.
Pick 26 – Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Jared Verse (DE/Florida State)
Verse fall this far is a gift to the Bucs. He had an amazingly productive year at FSU and seems to be NFL Ready. I don’t know if I feel good about Verse lasting this long but if he’s there, it’s a steal for Tampa Bay.
Pick 27 – Arizona Cardinals
Byron Murphy II (DT/Texas
DT is a weird class this year with no true top heavy prospects but a ton of depth. Murphy is arguably the best of the class and the Cardinals walk away from day one with two blue chip guys.
Pick 28 – Buffalo Bills
Adonai Mitchell (WR/Texas)
Worthy, McConkey, and Coleman could all be the pick here for their perspective talents but AD Mitchell is the dog of the remaining guys. Josh Allen needs targets and AD is ready for them.
Pick 29 – Detroit Lions
Darius Robinson (EDGE/Missouri)
Robinson may end up being the best edge in this entire class and would be the perfect compliment to Aidan Hutchinson at the next level. I love this for the Lions and they very much snag a guy who is going to help them make the Super Bowl.
Pick 30 – Baltimore Ravens
Xavier Worthy (WR/Texas)
The Ravens would go for any of the remaining receivers here but knowing that Zay Flowers is the route runner, a burner or a big body feel correct. I despise Coleman, so Worthy with his electric speed is an amazing option to pair with Lamar and Derrick Henry.
Pick 31 – San Francisco 49ers
Jordan Morgan (OT/Arizona)
The Niners don’t need to do anything but relax and pray that the Raiders want to get this spot for Penix. If they stay, Morgan makes complete sense. He is a prospect who if you watch his tape has only improved with each second on the field. He can sit behind Trent Williams and learn the position from arguably the greatest tackle ever.
Pick 32 – Kansas City Chiefs
Ladd McConkey (WR/Georgia)
I hate it so much, but it feels so right. Ladd is the route runner in this class of deep receivers and would be Mahomes best friend, especially with the Rashee Rice situation.
Pick 33 – Carolina Panthers
Xavier Legette (WR/South Carolina)
Pick 34 – New England Patriots
Keon Coleman (WR/Florida State)
Pick 35 – Arizona Cardinals
Kool-Aid McKinstry (CB/Alabama)
Pick 36 – Washington Commanders
Tyler Guyton (OT/Oklahoma)
Pick 37 – Los Angeles Chargers
Max Melton (CB/Rutgers)
Pick 38 – Tennessee Titans
Payton Wilson (LB/NC State)
Pick 39 – Carolina Panthers
Chop Robinson (DE/Penn State)
Pick 40 – Washington Commanders
T.J. Tampa (CB/ Iowa State)
Pick 41 – Green Bay Packers
Edgerrin Cooper (LB/Texas A&M)
Pick 42 – Houston Texans
Ruke Orhorhoro (DT/Clemson)
Pick 43 – Atlanta Falcons
Troy Franklin (WR/Oregon)
Pick 44 – Las Vegas Raiders
Michael Penix Jr. (QB/Washington)
Pick 45 – New Orleans Saints
Kingsley Suamataia (OT/BYU)
Pick 46 – Indianapolis Colts
Ja’Lynn Polk (WR/Washington)
Pick 47 – New York Giants
Ennis Rakestraw Jr. (CB/Missouri)
Pick 48 – Jacksonville Jaguars
Michael Hall Jr (DT/Ohio State)
Pick 49 – Cincinnati Bengals
Adisa Isaac (DE/Penn State)
Pick 50 – Philadelphia Eagles
Cedric Gray (LB/UNC)
Pick 51 – Pittsburgh Steelers
Ricky Pearsall (WR/Florida)
Pick 52 – Los Angeles Rams
Javon Soloman (EDGE/Troy)
Pick 53 – Philadelphia Eagles
Mike Sainristil (CB/Michigan)
Pick 54 – Cleveland Browns
Patrick Paul (OT/Houston)
Pick 55 – Miami Dolphins
Christian Haynes (OG/UConn)
Pick 56 – Dallas Cowboys
Trey Benson (RB/Florida State)
Pick 57 – Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Kamari Lassiter (CB/Georgia)
Pick 58 – Green Bay Packers
Cooper Beebe (OG/Kansas State)
Pick 59 – Houston Texans
Roger Rosengarten (OT/Washington)
Pick 60 – Buffalo Bills
Tyler Nubin (S/Minnesota)
Pick 61 – Detroit Lions
Kris Jenkins (DT/Michigan)
Pick 62 – Baltimore Ravens
Marshawn Kneeland (DE/Western Michigan)
Pick 63 – San Francisco 49er
DeWayne Carter (DT/Duke)
Pick 64 – Kansas City Chiefs
Kiran Amegadjie (OT/Yale)
